Abstract
The new Department of Natural Resources Platting Authority website graphically
shows surveys in the platting process within the Unorganized Borough. The
surveys are depicted as “pin points” with attributes and are accessible through an
easy to use GIS interface.
The main purpose in designing this website was to reduce amount of entries within
different databases and to minimize data entry errors, to tract number of “in-
progress” projects, and to make it simple for surveyors and the public to find
information on their subdivision survey.
