Residence Welcome Week A full week of daily events that provides residents opportunities to meet each other, connect with their neighbours, ask questions and familiarize themselves with support services on campus and in Residence! Sign your parents up for the parent/guardian newsletter to keep them informed about Residence news and upcoming deadlines. Welcome home Student Residence The Residence Agreement and Residence Handbook are available to view on the Residence Services website at livewithus.usask.ca @livewithusask Resident Assistants (RAs) RAs are highly trained student staff who live in each community as the first point of student support. RAs facilitate roommate meetings and support the transition to independent living. Through programming, RAs foster community and encourage personal growth and development. RAs provide referrals, and connections, to the wide range of professional supports available in Residence and the wider campus community. Why Choose Residence Vibrant and engaged residence communities to foster relationships and build a sense of belonging. Wide range of fully equipped multi-use common spaces and free tutoring provided four nights a week by PhD Candidates. Ready access to our Faculty in Residence and the Counsellor in Residence who form part of the highly responsive network of professional staff supporting the personal and academic success of our residents. Student only communities with secured building access and regular patrols for your safety and security. Included in all student rental fees, a Shaw Communications Package, including personal modem in each unit and Wi-Fi access throughout campus, all utilities, free laundry services in each hall and a tailored complimentary meal plan offered by Culinary Services.* * Meal plans vary per building, please see website for details. Safety in Residence • Residence patrols are conducted by both Protective Services and RAs. • Security cameras in Residence. • Secure rooms/keycard access. • Students are considered adults in the university context and confidentiality/privacy of information is maintained. • Students wishing to provide consent for parents/ supporters to obtain information about them or their time in Residence must contact their Coordinator, Student Life directly to discuss signing a consent form from Protective Services.

Important Dates

The ROAF amount is equivalent to one month’s rent and is applied to the term rental fees.

Acceptance payment (ROAF) required

Applicants will receive a timeslot letter by email providing the time and date for applicants to log on to the Residence Housing Portal and select their unit.

Timeslot Offer letters also provide applicants with information about the Room Offer Acceptance Fee (ROAF) that must be paid to reserve the unit prior to the deadline provided.

The Residence Agreement outlines the terms of residency at USask. Agreements will beavailable to residents following their ROAFpayment.

The Residence Agreement must be read prior to accepting the terms online through theResidence Housing Portal.
