UNH 2011 MBA-Global Marketing

Peking University 2009 International Economy and Trade

Senior Research Executive at Ipsos Qualitative

“It had been my dream to study in the U.S. since I was in high school. In my last semester at Peking University, I received offers of acceptance from several American universities. After weighing the factors like my background, interests, school ranking and location, I chose the University of New Haven (UNH). UNH is the start of my American dream. The result of a year study at UNH was way beyond my expectation. Not only did I learn business expertise from the best professors in the field, I also made friends with them. The concept of student-teacher relationship is quite different from the conventional Chinese definition. The professors at UNH are approachable and friendly. In the last trimester of my study, I started to apply for jobs online. Within five months, I secured offers from Maersk China, Starwood China and Ipsos. I decided to join Ipsos as a research executive. The Marketing Research course I took for my MBA gave me an edge for this position.”

FUTURE PLANSReturning to the West Bank to work with organizations implementing water resource improve-ment projects.

“The West Bank, where I am from, has a lot of trouble with water resources. That’s why I came to the U.S. to study, and I found the courses and materials I was looking for at UNH. The friendly relationship between the students and the professors was a new experi-ence for me.”
