Women’s Services
Since 1999, University’s Women’s Center has been
a clear leader among consumers for obstetrics and
gynecology in an independent survey conducted
annually by the National Research Corporation.
At University, we know every mother and baby is
unique. That’s why we provide individualized care
and the expertise that comes from delivering more

We deliver more babies than all area hospitals combined.
And we never forget that the most important baby is yours.

Understanding that men and women
really are different at heart, University
is the most comprehensive provider
of cardiovascular diagnostic and
treatment services in the region.
Each year, nearly twice as many
women die of heart disease as from
all forms of cancer. And 44 percent
of women who have heart attacks die
within a year. When it comes to heart
disease, the best defense is a good
offense. That’s why University offers
women a variety of services, classes,
screenings and special events that
encourage heart-healthy lifestyles.

Heart & Vascular Services
Few people get to work among legends,
but many of us at University Hospital were
fortunate enough to experience just that.
For the more than 60 years Dr. W. G. Watson
walked the halls at University Hospital, he
was a giant of a man. He helped introduce
incredible advancements in care, all while
urging those he mentored to continue to
focus on “service and kind words” as the
foundation with each patient and each other,
every day. He was not shy to say that his
priorities were first, God; second, his family
and third, his work. We at University are
dedicated to continuing his legacy of caring.
