GuidelinesregardingtheoriginalitycheckforthegraduationthesisatundergraduateandmasterlevelattheWestUniversityofTimioara
1. AttheWestUniversityofTimioara,theundergraduatestudiesfinishwiththe
graduationthesis.2. AttheWestUniversityofTimioara,themasterstudiesfinishwiththedissertation
thesis.3. Theelaborationofthegraduationthesisrepresentsthefinalstageofthefirststudy
cycle,whilethedissertationthesisrepresentsthefinalstageofthemasterstudies.4. ThegraduationthesistakesplaceaccordingtotheprovisionsoftheLawofNational
Educationno.1/2001,ofLaw288/2004regardingtherightofgraduatesofprivatehighereducationinstitutionstopresenttheirgraduationtheseswithinaccreditedhighereducationinstitutions,ofOrderoftheMinistryofNationalEducationandScientificResearchno.3098/2016regardingtheMethodologyFrameworkfortheorganisationofthegraduationthesis.
5. Enrollmentforthegraduation/dissertationthesisiscontingentuponthechoiceofthetopicofthegraduation/dissertationthesisbythestudent,outofthetopicsproposedbythethesiscoordinatoratleast7monthsbeforethepresentationofthegraduation/dissertationthesis.Thetopicsofthegraduation/dissertationthesiswillbepostedonthefacultywebsite.
6. (a)Thestudentmust:logintotheUVTelearningplatform(http://elearning.euvt.ro/),usingtheeuvtaccountuserandpassword;sendtherequestforthecoordinationofthegraduationthesistothecoordinator,usingtheelearningplatform(usingtheadequateformFigure2,Figure3andFigure4);Toseethelistofcoordinatorsfortheirstudyprogrammethestudentmustaccess(clickon)thebuttonEnrollmentforthegraduation/dissertationthesis(Figure1a),visibleonthefirstpageoftheplatformafterloggingin(Mypage).ThecoordinatorwillbechosenfromthelistwhichwillappearafterclickingonthebuttonEnrollmentforthegraduation/dissertationthesis(Figure1b);ifthecoordinatorisnotonthelist,hewillnotifytheprofessoraboutthisaspect.
(b)ThethesiscoordinatormustvalidateontheelearningplatformuntilDecember21,2017,atthelatest,thecoordinationrequestofthestudentsforwhichhehasgiventhewrittenapproval.Thevalidationoftherequestisdoneinthefollowingway:

Theprofessorwillaccessthelink(Accept/Rejecttheenrollmentofthestudent)presentattheendoftheemail,willtickthenameofthestudentandchooseConfirm(Figure7and Figure8).Now, the student is enrolled in the section for the coordinationof thegraduation/dissertationthesis.
1. The scientific coordinator of the graduation/dissertation thesis has the followingattributions:
Coordinatestheelaborationbythestudentofthethesisplan; Advisesthestudentviatheelearningplatform(Figure10)andbyfacetofacemeetings; Makes sure that the student has uploaded the thesis in the section dedicated to the
coordination(Figure10),aswellasinthesectiondedicatedtotheoriginalitycheck(Figure10),andthestudentwillgainaccesstotheSimilarityreportavailableontheplatformaftertheoriginalitycheck;
Makessurethatthestudenthasuploadedthethesiswiththefinalapprovedcontent,inthefinalsubsectionfortheoriginalitycheck(Figure10),thisuploadbeingpossibleonlyonce;afterthestudenthasreceivedtheapprovalofthecoordinatorbothregardingthecontentandthesimilarityreport,thestudentwillbeabletouploadthepaperinthefinalsubsectionfortheoriginalitycheck.Theapprovalisgivenbythecoordinatorinthe subsection Admitted/Rejected (Figure 10); if the subsection admitted/rejected(Figure10)isnotcompletedbytheprofessorforastudentwhowasAdmitted(Figure11a,Figure11b),thenthestudentwillnotbeabletouploadthethesisinthefinalvariantinthefinalsectionfortheoriginalitycheck.
Assesses the quality of the content and the originality of the paper and makesobservationsandsuggestionsviatheelearningplatformaswellasduringfacetofacemeetings;
Analyzestheentirecontentandthefinalshapeofthethesis,bywritinganevaluationreportbasedonthefinalvariantofthepaperandtheSimilarityreportdeliveredbytheplatform;
Thereportwillcontainanassessmentofthecontentofthepaper; Ifthestudentdoesnotreceivethereportandtheapprovaloftheprofessor,thepaper
cannotbepresentedinfrontoftheexaminationcommittee.2. Thegraduation/dissertationthesismusthaveoriginalcontent.Ifplagiarismisobservedorif
thestudentforgesthequalityasanauthorbybuying/tradingthepaper,thegraduatewillnotbeallowedtopresentthegraduationthesis.
3. Thescientificcoordinatorofthegraduation/dissertationthesisisresponsibleforensuring,togetherwithitsauthors,theoriginalityofthecontentofthethesis.
4. All the approved and presented graduation/dissertation theses will be included in theplatformlibraryinordertochecktheoriginalityofthesesfromthefollowingyears.
5. Itisprohibitedtomerchandisescientificpapersforfacilitatingtheforgingofthequalityofauthorbythestudentofagraduation/dissertationthesis.
