These range from complete crash pulses and precrash information to simple diagnostic checks.

Many modules only record up to the point of airbag deployment.

Many record nothing unless an airbag deploys.

Type: Project as announced in the EU Road Safety Action Plan 2003 and responding to an EU Call for Proposals in May 2004

Objective: "Identification how ADR/EDR implementation could positi vely impact upon Road Safety by providing the EU with an overview of advantages and disadvantages of ADR/EDR technology,

how ADR could enhance road safety through the instal lation and subsequent interrogation of ADR/EDR devices".
