History

• Universal came into being in I974 with the vision of Mr. Rohidaas alias Dadasaheb More to forge ahead in the sphere of construction equipment manufacturing. It started by supplying own manufactured oil lubricant pumps and gear boxes to major industrial giants. Since then, Universal has achieved great heights with it’s expertise and detailed execution. Universal proved its mettle by creating a nitric acid pump to be used in I India's combat weapon -1he Prithvi missile.

• Universal launched Construction Equipment Park at the Shivare Plant, a first of its kind in India.

• The Park at its Shivare campus holds a permanent exhibition where Universal’s entire construction equipment range of products is on display.

• Visitors to this park will be able to watch the demonstration of the latest additions to the Universal range of equipment. They will also be able to experience their wonderful facets by operating them.

• Shindewadi Plant is the largest manufacturing facility exclusively engaged into development of ancillaries for Universal.

• The Shindewadi Plant has a huge & multi - facility state - of -the -art setup with extremely high precision, advanced machines including an ultra modern Paint Booth.

• UNIVERSAL commissioned the Rudrapur Plant very recently in February 2010, in order to cater to the growing demand from the northern and the North - eastern of India.

• The plant is sprawling over a vast industrial area in Uttarakhand and is ideally located at 250 kms. from Delhi.

• The plant is self-sufficient and well equipped with all modern machinery comprising ol CNC and advanced material handling equipment. It is all set to manufacture the entire range ot products from the Universal bouquet.

Training Center

• As part of its Customer Empowerment Program, Universal took upon itself the training of customers’ operators and construction industry associates

• Training in selection, operation, maintenance and optimum use of construction equipment and machinery is imparted to the participants

• The first-ever facility in the history of Indian Construction Industry, has been approved by Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), an enterprise of Govt. of India’s Planning Commission.

Product Range

• Our entire product range is divided into 4 strategic business units (SBU)

• SBU 1 – Mechanisation solution range which includes many products viz. block making, bar bending & cutting, sand screening, earth & concrete compactors, 10/7 reversible mixers etc. Within this range a separate set of machineries has been specially designed to cater to the crisis of labour shortage at a very affordable price.

• SBU 2 – This range consists of all concreting solution equipments. This range inckude product like reversible mixers, batching plants etc. with many variants

• SBU 3 – This range consists of vertical man and material lifting solution range.

• SBU 4 – This range cosists of different categories of products viz. Tower Crane, Dumpers and many more
