What is UD?
A teaching framework that is designed to reach across a variety of students by using new learning experiences so that students can learn, know, and want to do a lot more in school.

How Universal Design is different
Most curricula focus on the average student
UD is the teaching process that benefits all students to the greatest extent possible
It puts emphasis on diversity and inclusiveness

What is the main point?
As teachers we need to try to reduce disabilities by changing our ways of teaching to address different kinds of student’s thinking.
We should be using creativity to reach all of our students.
UDL works for every student so they can get what they need, become excited about learing, and feel accomplished.
