Thoughts From Our Minister

“Focusing on Prayer”

Dear Unity Family,

I have been reading Divine Audacity: Dare To Be The Light of The World by Linda Mar-

tella - Whitsett, our Keynote speaker at the recent Eastern Region Unity Confer-

ence.

The theme of Divine Audacity is to be the light of the world through expressing

the twelve Spiritual Powers within us.

The Twelve Powers, those spiritual powers inherent in each one of us and reflect-

ing our Christ light, has always been one of my favorite Unity teachings. Reading

Divine Audacity has inspired me to begin a series of Sunday messages on the

Twelve Powers and to integrate the powers more deeply into my life.

The Christmas season, a time of awakening to the light within us, is a perfect time

to begin our study of the twelve powers. Whether this teaching is new to you or

a review of what you have learned, it is an opportunity for you to go deeper within

and draw forth the Christ light within you.

Please note on the calendar those Sunday messages marked with an (*) as the Sun-

days we will focus on one of the twelve powers.

Blessings and love,

Rev. Julie

Tree of Knowledge Guided Meditation and Healing Circle

Tuesday, November 10th

7 – 9:30 PM ( end time approx.)

Cost: A Love Offering from Your Heart

Facilitator: Bonnie Hassan

What do you need to know to help you move forward? To help you be your best self? To help you step out of

your comfort zone and into your power zone? Do you even know what you need to know?

Come join me for this powerful guided meditation to help you tap into the Universal Presence that has all the an-

swers! Where could you go if you had the answers to your questions? What could you do? Who could you be?

We’ll follow the meditation with a unique and powerful healing circle that will give Spirit an opportunity to take

what you gained from the meditation to a deeper level. With Native American Spirits speaking to your soul in a

language only your soul understands, and messages and wisdom from your guides and angels to help you take the

next step, the vibrations of the drums and rattles will further empower the Reiki energies to give you a whole-

being experience that might just knock your socks off! Bring a notebook, invite a friend, and experience the syn-

ergy of the group energy as you allow Spirit to take you where you need to go, to receive all that Spirit has waiting

for you!

Once the circle is complete, I’ll ask you to focus on your heart and ask

God/Spirit what you should offer for what you received.

Adopt-A-Family for Christmas

Once again we have the opportunity to provide Christmas gifts for one or two Caring Cupboard families.

Check the sign-up sheet at church if you would like to participate in this program.

Adopt-A-Shingle Campaign

As you probably are well aware, the roof at Unity has been leaking for many

years. It is now time to move forward with a new roof. Our goal is to raise

at least $15,000 for a new roof and hopefully more to add to our building

fund!

In order to raise the funds we have decided to get into the adoption busi-

ness! On Sunday, October 18th we officially kicked off our Adopt-a-Shingle

campaign which will run for one year or until every shingle has been adopted

by a loving family! We have estimated that it will take 1,500 shingles to complete the new roof. Each shingle can

be adopted for just $10 each! You do not need to feed, clothe or send these adoptees to college, so adopt many

and adopt often!

Beginning the adoption process is easy! Please specify Adopt-a-Shingle in the memo line of any donations given

and/or use the building maintenance envelopes specifying Adopt-a-Shingle. Add many of these little tax deduc-

tions to your family!

Meditation Group

Unity of Palmyra is happy to announce the Meditation Group led by Law of Attraction Coach, Elaine Torrance-

Gingrich. The purpose of this group is to explore different meditation techniques while creating a meditation

habit in the comfort of a group of like minds for support, camaraderie, and accountability.

Meetings will be held Thursday, November 12th and December 10th. A $10 Love Offering is requested.

We will open with a discussion on our experiences with the meditation technique explored during our previous

meeting—what has worked and what hasn’t. We will try a new technique (chanting, guided meditation, focus

object, etc.) each meeting and discuss our experiences. A commitment to continue working with the technique

explored in group is recommended as we will discuss the experience at the opening of the next meeting (the

accountability to establish the practice of meditation).

For more information, please call Elaine at 641-3311 or email her at [email protected].

A Course in Miracles w/ Joe Wolfe

Sunday, November 1st and Sunday, December 6th

12 Noon following the service.

Join us for an hour on Sunday when we will touch on the benefits of the workbook in A Course in Miracles and

how authentic forgiveness really does change the way we perceive everyone and everything in the world. We

will talk on the subject of a productive pathway to Spiritual awareness and the truth that a constant State of

Peace is not something to wait for, but is right here, right now, closer than the breath.
