You may have noticed that a TV show by the name of Duck Dynasty

has become rather popular of late. Perhaps you have become a regular viewer of the show. I was

introduced to the show only recently, but I have watched it a few times now. It is rather interesting I

have to say. Someone suggested to me that it might make a good introduction to a series of

sermons upon the Duck Dynasty of the Old Testament. This is said, of course, with a great deal of

tongue-in-cheek. I am referring to the dynasty of David, the shepherd boy whom God called to be

king over Israel. So I will be preaching a series of sermons upon this Duck Dynasty of the Old

Testament. We will see that this dynasty of King David was truly a dynasty of the heart. We will

begin the series on September 15. I hope you can be in church for each one of these sermons upon

the Dynasty of the Heart.

volunteers for our Fall programming: teachers, people to help

with snacks, crowd control, choir helpers. Please prayerfully consider

We will be starting back our Youth Parent Small Group Study on Wednesday,

September 4th at 6:30 PM. The class will be led by Larry & Annie Percy and is

open to all parents (not just parents of youth). Study Title: The Christian Atheist.

must preregister for each monthly class.
