Life of Olaudah Equiano - horrible traveling conditions for slaves

included: didn’t see daylight for a long time, in chains, just kept healthy enough for them to survive. - wrote it in big words to try and show that just because he was black he wasn’t stupid.

Anne Bradstreet

Wrote a love poem to her husband- “To My Dear and Loving Husband”-published in 1650- used aa,bb,cc,dd,ee,ff rhyme scheme

Poetry shows the Puritan way of explaining stories and the voice of the bible.

Her love to write poems was frowned upon by the Puritan people and considered, “ unladylike”

Wrote poem to God- “Huswifery”- was published in the 1930s after his poems were found-showed his love for God and how he wanted to prove his faith in God
