too…to… 是英语中常用的一种结构，其句型为“ too ＋形容词或副词原级＋ to do …” ，在形式上是肯定的，但在意义上是否定的。 He is too busy to watch TV.

“too … to …” 本身已含有否定的意思，因此，不定式前一般不加 not 。当 too 前面有否定副词 never 时，表示肯定意思 You are never too young to start doing things.

做事情不怕年龄小。 It is never too late to study at the old age.

活到老，学到老。

too ... to ... 结构一般可以与 so ... that ... ( 如此……以至于…… ) 结构相互转换。

The boy is too young to go to school.

= The boy is so young that he can’t go to school.
