• Analgesics- Pain relievers.• Side affects-Reactions to medicine other than the one intended.• Addictive interactions- When medicines work together in a positive way.• Synergistic effect-The interaction of two or more medicines that result in a

greater effect than when medicines are taken independently.• Tolerance- A condition in which the body becomes used to the effect of a

medicine.• Withdrawal- The process that occurs when a person stops using a

medicine or other substances to which he or she has a physiological dependence.
