THE SIMPLE SENTENCE
• A simple sentence has one Subject-Predicates combination.
Example :- Santi loves swimming very much.- Shinta and Dika sat in the corner.- It is a very good book.- You can study here with me or go to your room.

A. Subject Verb (Object) (Object/Complement)Example :-The girl is crying. (subject-verb)-They are playing football in the yard. (subject-verb-object)-The teacher gave them some homeworks. (subject-verb-object-object)-We usually call it disease. (subject-verb-object-complement)
The simple sentence can be divided into two broad forms:

B. Subject Verb ComplementExample :-The book looks good. (Adjective)-We are students. (Noun)-The girls are in the garden. (Adverb)
The simple sentence can be divided into two broad forms:

SUBJECT3. TO INFINITIVE (PHRASE)Example : To study English is easy.
To do this task needs some steps.4. GERUND (PHRASE)Example : Fishing is my hobby.
Living in Jakarta is sometimes frustrating.5. CLAUSEExample : What he has done is really wonderful.
That he passed the test surprised us.

SUBJECT6. EXPLETIVE “THERE” and “IT”Example :-There are some people in the hall.-There will be meeting tomorrow.-Once there was a beautiful princess.-It is not easy to solve this problem.-It is said that money does not always bring happiness.-It is raining now in Banyuwangi.
