1.1Why did you use a computer? What other systems / resources could you have used?

I could of used pen and paper and make a poster to put ideas down. I could used the phone to call all the parents but it will take a long time. I could make a presentation and put it in assemblies or school wouldn’t give me the time off. I could ask people about it because they might know more than me. I could go to the library and get some facts from the books because they have all the answers down. I used a computer to research because it was quicker to take me to the website and I used a computer because when I get a mistake it will delete it instead of starting again.

1.2What skills did you need to learn in order to use PowerPoint?

I asked people that if I can have some help and they did I asked my teacher she explained it to me so she helped me then I looked on Rm shared found some facts that I could use and I did so then in the end I had finished my PowerPoint and now finishing my work and more and I had to start doing it after school which I did and now I am now finishing off my work so I wont have to go and stay and I have learned some skill of people and my teacher

What PP skills?Like adding more slides and putting the images in the right place and know more information.

1.2What resources did you need to make the presentation successful?

I used the internet so I could search and get images for the presentation and I went on my files and got a video about the school and presentation so the audience will find it really interesting and the kids will love the facts and images and the video and they will know where to go because there will be a map on there to tell them where to go to smiths wood sports college.

1.4What factors might have affected how well you completed the presentation? (e.g. time / attendance / knowledge of software)

The amount of people distracting me and I was on a catch up after school completing the work and I had some days off school so I had a catch up after school and when I finished my work I won’t have to do catch up and the amount of me not listening and now I listened and done the work and completed it and followed the instructions and done the work and I did it send it to Mrs Naish and I was done and finished the work.

1.6Why did you use PowerPoint to make your presentation? What other software was available? Why did you choose not to use them?

I could of asked people instead of hyperlink and videos when I could tell them myself and they will help me with my question.I used power point because it has slides and hyperlink button and videos what you might need and background layout and I did not use them a lot because I had some help and I was able to do the work and go on the website for facts and I used a lot of slides and hyperlink.

1.7Were there any legal constraints or local constraints that changed the way you created your presentation? (e.g. copyright, file sizes, AUP)

Copyright is when you need permission off someone therefore when you go on google images you might take for ever to get permission off everyone that’s why when you go on rm shared and get the video or picture then put on the presentation and you must have permission off the teacher to have it on your or my presentation.

I used a short video to make it easy to upload but it was low quality to upload.The AUP might have blocked useful websites, this was a problem because people go on games and websites that they are not allowed on.

2.2Which tools within PowerPoint made it appropriate for your presentation?

You can use images on the power point and a video to watch and hyperlink to add on the presentation and I added some photos of the school and some colour to the power point and some facts of the internet to talk about the school and lessons also some facts in lessons are interesting like English, Maths, Science and others.

I could of use colour instead and made the sentences clear to read.

2.4What improvements do you think you could do to your presentation?

My presentation is good. It needs more information to improve my work and also it will be more better if I didn’t have to do catch after school and I have completed my work so that I will pass it and do some other work and all that so when I finished my presentation I had looked all of it and over added some more facts so it will look better and then send it to my teacher.The pictures are good and the information is good and it is clear information to read and understand.

3.2What improvements do you think you could have done to improve your work rate?(keyboard shortcuts, file names & locations, backups, work after school, templates, planning)

I improved my presentation by completing it in lesson and after school I done it on my slides I have got videos and images and the name I put on it is smiths wood sports college presentation I got the location where smiths wood is and before I done this presentation I was planning to do all this hard work to complete and also I some times work after school to complete this presentation.I have used keyboard shortcuts by copying images and pasting and I have used for file names about smiths wood so I know what the file name in called and I have had a catch up on my work so I can complete it.
