HISTORY1973 Volunteers create a simple hospitality center Union Street in downtown Pasadena.

1983 Regular patron dies of exposure. “Depot” shelter is created.

most comprehensive social service agency assisting homeless

and very low-income individuals and families.

ADULT CENTER56-bed shelter for adults

• 36 beds for men, 20 beds for women

• Serves 150 homeless people each year

• Onsite case management and supportive services

• Community Meals Program and Shower Program

• 60% move on to stable housing

FAMILY CENTER50-bed shelter for parents and their children

• 50 beds • Serve 125

homeless people in 50 families each year

• Case management and supportive services

• 80% move on to stable housing.

EUCLID VILLA 14-unit transitional housing apartments for families

• 14 apartments • One to four bedroom

apartments with kitchen and bathroom

• Serves 35 people each year• Families pay 30% of their

income • Case management and

supportive services • 90% move on to permanent

housing.

CENTENNIAL PLACE144-unit permanent housing apartments for adults

• One bedroom apartments with shared kitchen and bathrooms

• 144 units for adults • No limit on length of stay • Case management and

supportive services • Individuals pay 30% of

their income towards rent

CASE MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES

• Children’s enrichment: art, literacy, tutoring, computers, boy/girl scouts, teen therapy

• Adult enrichment: piano, poetry, art, computers, yoga

• Life skills classes: – Money management– Nutrition – Anger management– Banking program – Parenting classes

• Onsite medical services• Medical / mental health

referrals • Recovery support• Career development• Benefit attainment • Legal advocacy• Transportation

SOURCESCAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

• 125 homeless and low income people participate in Sources each year

• Job candidates receive:– career development

workshops– job search resources– One-on-one career

counseling,– Ongoing support

• 50% of workshop graduates secure employment within 90 days of graduation.
