CHINA RISINGSunday, Mar. 22, 2015 • 2:00pmAs youngsters we heard, “....if you drill straight down through the Earth you would come out in China.” That comprised just about the sum total of our knowledge of China. Perhaps the improvement in knowledge since then has been slight. One American tourist remarked recently that what China has achieved in 20 years took the U.S. 100 years to accomplish. He was referring to the upscale, modernist look of Shanghai with its 24 million people, four times larger than New York City.

MEXICO: THE BAD, THE GREAT, AND THE UGLYSunday, Nov. 16, 2014 • 2:00pmBasing the program on his 20 plus years of travel through the Sierra Madre Mountains of northwest Mexico, Bill Behrenbruch transports the viewer to a part of Mexico seldom seen by outsiders. There are few marked roads that cross the Sierra Madre from the U.S. border to the city of Durango, 800 miles to the south, and there is no infrastructure for travelers: no hotels, no motels, no restaurants, not even curio shops. But in these mountains there are destinations as grand as Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde, and Zion.
