The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), who disclosed this penultimate Sunday (January 3, 2015) during a media interactive session he hosted in his residence, noted that the move is also part of the University's plans to increase its internally generated revenue. Pointing out that goat milk is almost as pure as human milk, the renowned Professor of Veterinary Medicine said that “the University`s effort to go into goat milk production would contribute in no small measure to sustainable food production in the country”. Prof. Ambali told the newsmen that the University Council had already given the go-ahead to the management to establish contacts with some African countries with remarkable records of goat production with a view to commencing large scale importation of the animals from those countries. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), who disclosed this penultimate Sunday (January 3, 2015) during a media interactive session he hosted in his residence, noted that the move is also part of the University's plans to increase its internally generated revenue.

Pointing out that goat milk is almost as pure as human milk, the renowned Professor of Veterinary Medicine said that “the University`s effort to go into goat milk production would contribute in no small measure to sustainable food production in the country”.

Prof. Ambali told the newsmen that the University Council had already given the go-ahead to the management to establish contacts with some African countries with remarkable records of goat production with a view to commencing large scale importation of the animals from those countries.

The bus, tagged “Unilorin Students' Union Intervention Scheme”, is a collaborative effort between the Union and a private transporter, Alhaji Mohammed Kabir Olayiwola.
