Introduction This document describes the steps and configurations necessary for Cisco Unified Communications Manager

(Cisco UCM) release 10.5.2 to interoperate with the Unify Open Scape Voice Release 7.3 using SIP Early-

Offer.

The following items were tested: Basic call between the two systems and verification of voice path, using SIP on the Unify side, and

both SIP and SCCP IP phones on the Cisco side

CLIP/CLIR/CNIP/CNIR features: calling party Name and number delivery (allowed and restricted)

COLP/CONP/COLR/CONR features: connected Name and number delivery (allowed and restricted)

Call transfer: attended, early attended and blind transfer(see caveats for details)

Alerting Name Identification

Call forwarding: call forward unconditional(CFU), call forward busy (CFB), and call forward no answer (CFNA)

Hold and resume with music on hold

Three-way conferencing

Voice messaging and MWI activation-deactivation

Audio Codec Preference List

Extend and Connect

Call Park

Listed below are the highlights of the integration issues: Basic calls worked from Cisco UCM to Unify PBX and vice versa.

CLIR/CNIR—The Unify SIP trunk does not support calling/connected Name and number restriction, however it can be configured by subscriber.

COLR/CONR—as with calling Name and number presentation restrictions, the Unify PBX does not support connected Name and number restriction on SIP trunks, it can be configured at Subscriber level.

Below are the key results: Basic call, call transfer, call forwarding, conference call, and hold and resume work successfully

Centralized voicemail, using Unity Connection server integrated to Cisco UCM via SIP was used for testing. This voicemail solution can provide centralized voicemail services, supporting both Unify and Cisco end-users

Limitations These are the known limitations, caveats, or integration issues:

Unify phone does not support completion of a conference before third party answers the call

On transferred calls involving Extend and Connect, Transferee’s display is not updated with Transfer Target information

Voice mail retrieval using Extend and Connect will require UCM release 10.5.2 SU3 or higher, containing a fix for defect ID CSCuw98131.

On transferred calls where calling name and number or connected name and number are configured on Transferee or Transferor; Transferee is never updated with Transfer Target information.

Unify requires a third party gateway to connect analog phones which was not available during test execution. No testing related to analog phone was performed.

When CUCM originates a call from a shared line it delivers the shared name, Unify displays it correctly. If call is put on hold and retrieved from “the original” shared line CUCM sends a re-INVITE including the name and number. Unify does not update the display with the new information received.

Unify cannot configure different names on shared lines.
