The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) provides Addendum No. 1 to the Request for Proposal (RFP) 2012-1167, issued November 17, 2011, requesting Uniform Rental and Laundry Cleaning Services, modified as below.

A. Request for Proposal (RFP) 2012-1167 is amended and posted on the www.actransit.org website, effective Wednesday, 12/14/11.

B. RFP date and time for the receipt of responses has been changed. A signed

copy of this Addendum No. 1 along with RFP response, must be submitted by the new due date, of 11:00 a.m. on JANUARY 4, 2012, 10626 International Blvd., Oakland, CA, Attn: Lynda McBroom. No fax or email transmittals will be accepted. Office hours for hand-carried deliveries are 8:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.

The following table contains the final answers to questions raised on the Uniform Rental and Laundry Cleaning Services RFP 2012-1167. 1. Is there a diagram or picture of how the reflective striping looks on the shirts

and coveralls?

See Attached pictures of reflective striping for the shirts and coveralls. See RFP, page 23, item X; restated, below:

Color of the uniforms furnished by the Contractor will be “Charcoal Grey” or equivalent. Both uniform styles require reflective tape. Approximately 96% of the coveralls and 89% of the pants/shirts. Of those uniforms requiring the reflective tape, shirts and coveralls will have high reflective tape around the shoulder and down the front and back. Uniforms requiring tape on leg bottoms shall be reflective type tape.

2. If there is no diagram or picture for the reflective striping and how it is

applied to shirts and coveralls, is a garment meeting an enhanced visibility requirement acceptable?

See question no. 1 for reflective striping pictures. Enhanced visibility options will be accepted in proposals for review and consideration. The District reserves the right to accept or deny options. For an option to be considered the proposal must include reflective striping as described and specified by the RFP and this subsequent addendum No. 1

3. Is yellow garment tape authorized or should the color be orange?

Reflective tape to be: Reflective Clothing Tape, Sew-On, Color Hi-Visibility Silver in color.
