Marlow White is a fifth-generation company that has provided uniforms since 1879. The

origin of the company can be traced back to Jacksonville and Pensacola, Florida, where

the company provided uniforms to sailors assigned to naval aviation schools. Marlow White

eventually provided military uniforms at Air Force, Army, and Navy installations across the nation.

Since 1959, the focus of the company has been the Army dress uniform market where Marlow

White has gained a reputation for providing a product line of excellence with outstanding

service. In 1971, Marlow White established its headquarters in Leavenworth, Kansas, by opening

a “one-stop-shop” for military dress uniforms. To this day we continue to provide the highest-

quality products at the best value to the armed services members. We also provide the same

high-quality workmanship and value in our honor guard and dress uniforms offered to the

First Responder members of police, fire, and emergency medical service units throughout the

country. Marlow White takes immense pride in helping Honor Guard units look their best when

representing their respective departments.

6Request a Quote. If ordering stock uniform items, please visit our website and click on the "request a quote" link after making your uniform selections. If choosing custom options, please contact one of our service reps by phone or email us at [email protected].

7Issue a Purchase Order. Once you have confirmed your uniform selection, your department can submit a purchase order via email, by standard mail, or by faxing it to (913) 651-8417.

8Order Fulfillment. We will ship orders containing stock items immediately after we receive your purchase order.Otherwise, delivery time depends on how customized your order is. Custom colors and cloth can take as much as twelve weeks for delivery.

9Payment. All department purchase orders will be billed Net 30 days from delivery. All other orders must be paid in advance.

Step

10Guarantee. We guarantee no price increase on the items you ordered for a period of 24 months after your purchase. We keep detailed records to match your future orders.

How to Measure For the Best Fit

First Responder uniform sizes often differ from one’s ”normal” size. For example, it is very common for an individual to need uniform trousers

one size larger than his measured waist, allowing enough room in the seat, thighs and hips to prevent the pockets from "puckering." Please allow us to help you determine the correct size for your uniform by carefully following the directions below. In addition to height and weight, we will need the following measurements to best fit your department.

1. Chest/Bust: While standing erect, but relaxed, measure around the largest part of the chest or bust with the tape passing under the arms, remaining parallel to the floor, and snug.*

2. Waist: While standing relaxed, measure around your waist where the trousers are worn; generally this is the smallest part of the waist. Pull the tape snug.*

3. Hips: While standing relaxed with your feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips (seat), keeping the tape parallel to the floor and snug.* Remove wallets and cell phones from your pockets prior to taking the measurement.

4. Sleeve Outseam: With your arms held relaxed at your sides, measure from the center of the back, over the shoulder, and to the bottom of the wrist bone where the hand joins the wrist.

5. Pant Inseam: Measure the inside seam from the crotch seam to the bottom of the trouser leg. A good technique is to measure a pair of well-fitting trousers while laying them on a flat surface.

6. Cap: Measure across your brow, about 1” above your eyebrow, keeping the tape parallel to the ground. For females, round up to next 1/2” to obtain size. For males, divide measurement by 3.14 and round up to next 1/8” to obtain size.

*Snug means that the measuring tape is tight, yet loose enough to slide your hand under the tape.

The Marlow White Fitting and Alteration Process

Once you have confirmed your uniform specifications per our quote, we will provide a basic measurement spreadsheet for you to complete. Within two weeks of receiving your purchase order and measurements,

Marlow White will send your agency a set of "try-on" uniforms to confirm the fit.

If using a local company for your alterations: Return the try-on uniforms once you have confirmed the fit. Marlow White will then process your order. "Stock" uniforms will ship immediately, but please allow up to 12 weeks (after confirming the sizes) for production and delivery of custom uniforms.

If using MARLOW WHITE for your alterations: Return the "try-on" uniforms "marked" for alterations; our customer service staff will explain our simple, yet effective, marking system when you place your order. For "stock" orders, we will ship the altered uniforms generally within two weeks after we receive the marked "try-ons." For custom orders, please allow up to 12 weeks (after we receive the marked uniforms) for production, alterations, and delivery of uniforms.

On-site fittings are available (within the contiguous U.S. only) for quantities of 20 uniforms or more. Please contact a Marlow White representative for pricing.
