Page 11: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

• Water is available throughout the year for crops. Why ?• Because of DAMS

• But electricity is not available in peak (summer) and load shedding hours.

• How can we solve this problem ?

Page 12: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

• Storing energy(electricity) on large Scale---A New Concept

• This idea is yet un-explored in Pakistan.

• At what place these plants can be built?• In all 4 Provinces including Northern Areas.

Page 13: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

• Can Pakistan has so much energy(electricity) that can be stored ?

• YES!• Demand Ranges From 15,055MW To 20,584MW.• While Energy(electricity) can be produced from COAL = 100,000 MW HYDEL POWER = 40,000 MW SOLAR ENERGY= 100,000 MW WIND POWER = 50,000 MW ---------------------------------------------------- Total Energy(electricity)= 300,000 MW(Approx.)

Metallic ores are the back bone of industry. How….?

• Infrastructure• Defense system• Vehicles.• Heavy Machinery.• Spare parts For micro product to Macro

product.

Metallic ores un exploredTungsten.Titanium.Iron ores.Gold.Silver.PlatinumLithium.

Page 17: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

• Pakistan can become independent in industrial goods by utilizing all these ores.

• Specially uranium ore is great blessing of ALLAH

• Pakistan has 1000 uranium resources

• Out of 17 countries Pakistan is 7th one in Uranium production

NATURAL RESOURCES

BY : AHMED KAMAL 2007-MET-04

Page 19: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

Natural resources depends upon the geographical position of country.

PAKISTAN has 5th largest Gold mine in the world. PAKISTAN’s coal reserves are equivalent to 618 billion barrels of Oil which is twice of the oil reserves of SAUDI ARABIA. PAKISTAN is the 6th largest Natural Gas producing in ASIA PACIFIC.

Page 20: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

Analysis of natural resources. Natural Resources Reserves(approx)

OIL 6 trillion barrels

GAS 32.8 trillion cubic ft explored 28 trillion cubic ft un explored

COAL 175 billion tons

COPPER 12.3 million tons

GOLD 20.9 million ounce

Significance of Natural Resources

Initially capital cost is required but running cost is small. Raw material is continuously available. Unemployment may be reduced. By products will assist other industries which can be exported as well. But these resources will not assist us forever so we should utilize them in a careful way.

• Pakistan is basically an agricultural country.• Only those countries can have enormous

agricultural products which have large cultivated area.

• Pakistan also has this blessing but we are using only 47% of cultivable land.

• As Pakistan is agricultural country so its economy mainly depends upon this.

• Pakistan has one of the best and oldest (Almost 180 years ) canal system in world.

Page 24: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

Uncultivable land of Baluchistan

• Baluchistan is 1/3rd of Pakistan with respect to land.• It has 48% Uncultivable land which is only due to

the un availability of water.• This problem can be tackle down by using modern

technology.

Page 25: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan
Page 26: Unexplored Treasures Of Paksitan

• The water being wasted in Arabian sea can serve the agricultural sector of Baluchistan.

• This project can add worthful revenue to the agricultural economy of Pakistan.

• Country is being bestowed by natural resources (including energy resources) which can be used for the excellence of country, while superb man power with energetic vision is also present.

• In future you people are going to make projects by keeping in view above mentioned points
