Domtower

The Dom tower was built in 1254 in the city of Utrecht. Since 1580, the

church is protestant. It is the highest church tower in The Netherlands, it’s

112.32 meters high.

New Church

New Church is in Delft at the center of the city. The tower is 108.75 meters high. It is the second tallest tower in The Netherlands. You can look in the tower except on Sunday’s. And you can climb up the tower. On Sunday the church is open only for the ones who want to go to church.

Sint- Janskathedraal

St. John's Cathedral is the home town of 's-Hertogenbosch. It

was a Roman Cathedral. The

construction started in 1220 and was finished in1340.

The defense line of Amsterdam

The defense line of Amsterdam was one of defence, located 10 to 15 kilometres around the centre of the Netherlands

Amsterdam. The proposition is 135 miles long, contains 42 forts and is constructed from 1880 to 1920.

In 1996, the argument van Amsterdam by UNESCO on the World Heritage list.

Zuidhavenpoort

Zuidhaven Port is one of the three city gates in Zierikzee. That’s in the province Zeeland. The port was build in the 15th century.

Sint-Martin

Saint-Martin is a church in Weert. It is a Roman Catholic church. The

church was built in 1456.

Townhall of Franeker

The first stone was laid on June 24, 1591. The construction lasted three years. Above the main entrance are the Arms of Friesland.

Schokland

Schokland is a village and former Northeast polder island in the Dutch province of Flevoland, which in 1859 was evacuated for safety. Since the draining of the Noordoostpolder 1942 makes it part of the mainland.

The Dolmens

Of the 54 dolmens that are still visible in The Netherlands, there are 52 in

the province of Drenthe.

Castle of Twickel

Herman van Twickelo bought the house Eysinck in Delden. This house was later Twickel castle. Today the castle is inhabited by

Count zu Castell Rüdenhausen and his

family.

Kinderdijkmolens.

The windmills of Kinderdijk are since 1997 on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

The 19 polder mills, a windmill motion, are a tourist attraction. One of the mills, close

to the village of Kinderdijk, during the summer season you can go inside to visit.

The mills at Kinderdijk were built from the end of the fourteenth century, but the remaining mills dating from 1738 and

1740.

The windmills of Kinderdijk were built around the water from the polder pump.
