The use of fabric formwork (grout bags) for the rectification of free spans and stabilisationof sub sea pipelines is now accepted as the most efficient and cost effective solutioncurrently available to the oil and gas industry.
Once predominately executed by divers, advances in ROV technology and installationequipment have meant an enormous increase in pipeline free span rectification usingROV’s. The use of ROV’s not only minimises risks and costs of having personnel in thewater, installation by ROV is proven.
All personnel have been at the forefront of these advances in ROV intervention installationand product design and have recently come together to provide a service we feel issecond to none within the industry.

Our design team at PPSB have produced a formwork that minimises the scour effect withadditional internal fabric engineered into the base section the FPS provides a true preventativescour solution without additional costs being incurred such as artificial seaweed and articulatedmattresses.
