Potential violations of.law, regulalion, or policy are of considerable concern 10 the Direclor of National Inte1ligence (DNI). While every violalion is a serious matter, we are pl!rlicularly concerned about unauthorized disclosures of classified intelligence informalion that may reveal or compromise inte11igence sources and methods. Section 1011 of the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 (IRTPA) provides that the DNI shall ensure

Tbe ODN! Special Security Center (SSC) will work together with the ODN! Office of the General Counse1 (OGC) to review potential violations in the Intelligence Community and ma\ce appropriate recommendations to the DN!. The SSC will act as the ODNI's focal point for addressing issues concerning unauthorized disclosures of classified information in coordination with ODN! OGC.
