Mission StatementTo support the SACEUR and to promote and maintain the

esprit de corps of SHAPE/NATO military and civilian personnel by providing music for official functions.

Function

The SHAPE International Band functions as a public relations tool by representing SHAPE/NATO, and by

promoting its message through performances at civilian concerts, presentations, national celebrations, community

festivals, and musical tours.

Requesting the Band1. Contact the SIB Operations Office.2. Fill out a Performance Request Form in as much detail as possible.3. SIB Director of Operations (DO) will contact submitting agency/person to

discuss details of submitted event and determine if request falls within the SIB mission scope, capability, and calendar availability.

4. If confirmed by the DO, a POC from the SIB Operations Office/Ensemble(s) Requested will be assigned to facilitate musical and logistical plans based on the ensemble tasked.

5. The band can not be officially tasked until a request is sent to AND a response returned to the requester by the DO.
