Aviation and Missile LCMC Vision is to get products to the Soldier faster, make good products even better,
minimize life-cycle cost, and enhance the synergy and effectiveness of the Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ALT) communities.

3. Fielding and Readiness Division - JAMS Fielding/Readiness and JAMS War Room

1. Procurement of Spares
- JAMS has added procurement of most critical spares to our end item buys.

Resulted in elimination of 11 months ofadministrative lead time (cost avoidance of $1.1M)

2. Spares Availability – 20% increase in availability with 70% of the manpower
- extensive coordination with Acquisition Center to expedite procurements
- collaboration with JAMS Project Office Engineers and Configuration Management Personnel to ensure technical data accuracy
- coordination with RESET POCs to synchronize government requisitions with RESET schedules
- detailed reviews and analysis of backorders

Bill Ruta is a fellow within the Defense Acquisition University Senior Service College Fellowship program focusing on “Leadership”. Prior to the fellowship, Mr. Ruta was the Deputy Project Manager for the Joint Attack Munition Systems (JAMS) Project Office. The JAMS Office has overall management responsibility for all Army Air to Ground Missiles and Rockets. He managed approximately $500 million dollars annually and led a staff of approximately 180 employees.
Barry W. Beavers became Director for Logistics for the Joint Attack Munition Systems (JAMS) Project Office in June 2005. Mr. Beavers manages a staff of approximately 45 individuals engaged in all phases of lifecycle support for all Army Air to Ground Missiles and Rockets.
