The title, KURT COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK, takes its name from a musical collage that was created by Cobain with a 4‐track cassett

recorder in 1988, of which there are two versions; one is about thirty ‐six minutes long and the other about eight ‐minutes long.

Several of the film's scenes were animated by Stefan Nadelman and Hisko Hulsing.

The film was co‐ produced by HBO Documentary Films and Universal Pictures International Entertainment Content Group.

The documentary, KURT COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK , is an authentic and unflinching look into Kurt’s life, art and mind through his own unique

lens. Following Kurt from his earliest years in Aberdeen, WA, through the height of his fame, the film creates an immersive cinematic insight into an

artist who craved the spotlight even as he rejected the trappings of fame. Brett Morgen who wrote, directed and produced the documentary began

working on it in 2007 when Cobain's family approached him with the idea and offered him unrestricted access to all of Cobain's personal and family

archives. The documentary features Cobain and Courtney Love's only daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, as a co‐executive producer on the film and

includes footage from various Nirvana performances as well as unreleased home movies, recordings, artwork, photography, journals, demos, and

songbooks.

From deep musical origins in Detroit, rapper/singer/songwriter Illa J has been slowly navigating his way through the oturbulent waters of Hip-Hop since the tender age of 13, when the young John Yancey aka Illa J wrote his first rhyme alongshis brother, the late great J Dilla. After his brother’s passing in ‘06, he began teaching himself piano, bass and taking voclessons while finding himself touring the world and recording a slew of Dilla-related projects, notably being an active membof Slum Village until 2014. His first solo album, '08s Yancey Boys and the Frank Nitt 2013 collaborative album Sunset BLVwere both released on seminal label Delicious Vinyl. Feeling the need for a change creatively as well as geographically2012 John moved to the future music hotbed that is Montreal ultimately making the connection with Canadian producers NWisdom & AstroLog ical aka Potatohead People (whose acclaimed Bastard Jazz debut album Big Luxury in Spring 20featured Illa J on two hit singles). The success of their initial collaborations inspired the team to dive into the studio aembark on Illa J's new self-titled solo album, and present an entirely fresh sound of his own.

The album Illa J, produced without any samples by Potatohead People alongside a few groundbreaking co-producers, showcases a m

mature and at-ease Illa J who is equally comfortable on top of an electronic boogie-inspired beat (“Universe”) as he is getting grimey ove

trunk rattling G-Funk joint (the Kaytranada co-produced “Strippers”). On tracks like the sparse, Rhodes driven “Cannonball” (co-produc

by Montreal’s Noo Bap), and the early 90s Spiritual / Acid Jazz inspired “Sunflower”, Illa flexes his muscles through both song and rhym

And of course being true to his roots, the classic Detroit boom-bap sound is ever present on joints like “French Kiss”, “Perfect Game” (qu

possibly Rap’s only ode to bowling), and “Never Left”, a touching tribute to his brother and a call-out to abusers of Dilla's legacy. Vancou

mainstay MC Moka Only contributes invaluably to the cohesive sound of the album as well, providing signature smoothed-out vo

choruses to tracks like “She Burned My Art”, “All Good Pt. 2” and “Who Got It” (co-produced by Mosaic). Dropping Fall 2015 on Bast

Jazz Recordings, Illa J is a brilliantly-produced, diverse, and long overdue solo effort from Yance.

L’histoire est née à la fin d’un concert de ‐M‐ à Bercy, en décembre 2013. Un final d’anthologie, ‐M‐ et des guests « 6 étoile

» : Louis Chedid, Selim, Nach. Tous les quatre jouent, chantent, saluent ensemble….Backstage, on s’embrasse. On se sourit

On se dit…Et si on allait plus loin, si on partait en tournée ? Louis, Matthieu, Joseph et Anna Chedid tailleront la route à

quatre au printemps 2015, pour une tournée unique, une nouvelle histoire dans le grand livre d’heures des Chedid. Au fina

plus de trente concerts dont 8 Olympia sold out en juin et juillet derniers et un concert événement à l’Opéra Garnier le 6

septembre, lui aussi mémorable. Pour garder une trace de cette épopée familiale, les quatre artistes ont décidé d’en faire

album. Pas un live, plutôt un vrai album studio, avec toutes ces nouvelles versions des chansons issues du répertoire de

chacun, revisitées par ce quatuor unique en son genre. Tout comme la tournée, l’album s’est construit dans la plus grande

spontanéité. Les
