Areas of Application

Ultra-granulators, type PANTHER are used inrecycling operations for the production of valuablesecondary raw materials. The feed material shouldbe available in pieces in order to be metered intothe machine. To the PANTHER it does not makeany difference whether or not it is fed with electronicwaste or waste tire chips. It does neither sneeze atused batteries and waste cables nor at PET bottlewaste, Tetra-Pack or carpet waste. Anywhere whereroughest conditions exist and where reliability isrequired, the PANTHER is found in action. ThePALLMANN specialists develop solutions so thatthe material can be continuously fed and transportedfrom the mill. When required, a sorting system forthe separation of the most various secondary rawmaterials can also be delivered with the machine.

Method of OperationThe Ultra-granulator, type PANTHER size reducesall cuttable material to a particle size smaller than4 mm or if necessary coarser. Material is normallyfed by means of a conveyor belt or vibratory feederacross the entire width of the machine. A real slantcut, reduces the energy required to a minimumduring size reduction. Massive, angled rotor kniveswork with a very close tolerance cutting gap againstopposing slanted counter knives. In the lower partof the housing, a well dimensioned screen is installed,which holds the cut material in the chamber until itis discharged through the screen holes. The materialis then carried away from the machine by means ofa pneumatic suction system.The product can bestored in silos or big bags in accordance with thecustomer’s requirements.

DesignThis heavy duty and compactly built machine isdesigned for the special requirements of modernrecycling operations. Excellent accessibility into thecutting chamber by means of large front doors. Theupper machine housing is hydraulically opened.Rotor- and stator knives are adjusted in fixturesoutside the machine and can be re-sharpened manytimes. The screen frame is opened hydraulicallyand the screen is reversible, for even usage of bothsides. The massive flanged bearings are centeredin the housing and the safety devices are incompliance with the current machine builders di-rectives.
