One way to keep colours organised and show

how they are related to each other is with a

colour wheel. Here are some fun facts you

might not know about colour!

Three colours on the wheel are called primary colours. All of the other colours on the wheel

can be made from these three. They are red, blue and yellow. Any colour made by mixing

two or more of red, blue and yellow is called

a secondary colour.

Did you know different colours can actually

affect your mood and even your health?

They can! Here are just some of the ways

colours can make you feel:

Red

The colour of danger and anger, red

can make your heart beat faster and

raise your blood pressure.

Orange

This colour can make you hungry, so

you will eat more oranges!

Yellow

Pleasant and cheerful, yellow can put

you in a better mood. But babies cry

more in yellow rooms, so I guess they

want to redecorate!

Green

Green is said to be good for the eyes,

so you will see that cabbage coming

before it hits you!

Blue

Blue calms you down too. It is also

supposed to make you less hungry,

which might be why there aren’t a

lot of blue foods!

Purple

Purple can help you think deep

happy thoughts, as well as

inspire creativity.
