The UK-version of PubMed Central Offers the PubMed Central collection of ~1,000,000

full-text life science articles, freely available online irrespective of library holdings

US and UKPMC mirror each other’s content

Two routes to get manuscripts in to UKPMC:

1. Direct via publisher

e.g. publish in an open access journal

costs associated with ‘open access’ publishing met from research funding

2. Author - upload a copy of the final manuscript via the UK Manuscript Submission System
