W e’ll be exploring a range of topics including how Parliament scrutinises the work of the Government and the different steps in the legislative process. This week however , we’ll start by exploring the dif ference between Parliament and Government, and we’ll also begin looking at the work of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Learn at your own pace You and your fellow learners will be working through the course together at the same pace, so that you can support each other and have productive discussions. However , you are also welcome to move faster or slower through the course steps, if that fits in better with your available time. Please feel welcome to use the discussions and comments area to ask questions if you’re struggling, and to help other people if they’re stuck. W e won’t be able to answer every question directly , but we will try to attempt to respond to common problems and questions as the course proceeds. This course is an introduction course, but we know that many of you will be interested in finding out more as you go along. W e’ve included links to relevant information for those of you who wish to extend your learning.
