PROSPECTUS FOR THE SESSION, 2013-2014

1. THE UNIVERSITY

The Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) was established in the year 1962 under the provisions of the Orissa Act, 20 of 1961 and has the triple functions of teaching, research and extension education.

The University offers education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in Agriculture,

Horticulture, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science, & Forestry in the semester system. Research and Extension programmes are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in different parts of the Orissa, besides the Central Research Station at Bhubaneswar.

The University campus at Bhubaneswar is an academic complex of colleges and post-graduate departments, having highly qualified faculty. There is an agricultural farm of 180 hectares, a dairy farm, a poultry farm and a special workshop. There is a Central Library with a large number of books, periodicals and with book-bank facilities for students. Besides hostel accommodation, the University has a sports complex consisting of playgrounds and a gymnasium.

The University has Students' Counseling Centre, University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau, Communication Centre, Research Farm, Instructional Live Stock Farm, Educational Museum and many more opportunities to advance the skill and talents of the students. Internet facility is provided to all the students admitted to professional courses.

The graduates of the University have found employment in private and Public Sector

Undertakings, Corporate houses and Nationalized Banks, besides Govt. Departments. Some of the enterprising graduates of the University have also started their own enterprises. There is also a Placement Cell in respective Colleges. Internet facility is provided to all the Colleges, Hostels, and Central Library.

2.1.1 Students admitted into B.Sc (Ag)./B.Sc (Hort.) / B.Sc (Forestry) /B.Sc (Home Science) without having Mathematics or Biology at the +2 stage will have to make up their deficiency by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics / Biology) to be offered during the first two semesters.

2.1.2 Students passing I.Sc. (Ag.)/+2 (Agriculture) after H.S.C Examination shall not be eligible

for admission.

2.2 Admission is open to the following categories of candidates:

i) Those who have passed H.S.C. equivalent Examination with Odia as M.I.L.

ii) Those who do not have Odia as M .I. L. but whose parents are permanent residents of Odisha must furnish evidence of such permanent residency in the form of a certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned not below the rank of Tahasildar/District Magistrate. No affidavit to this effect shall be entertained.

: iii) Those who do not have Odia as M.I.L but whose parents are serving under the Govt. of

Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking or any University in the State of Odisha, the candidate must furnish a certificate to that effect from the Head of the Office /Institution where his/her parent (s) is working.

iv) Odia candidates permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate to the effect that he/she is an Odia permanently residing outside Odisha which must be issued by the District Magistrate of the District in which he/she is residing.

v) The above provisions, i,e. 2.2 (i) to 2.2 (iv), are not applicable to ICAR/VCI

nominees/NRI/foreign candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/son and daughter of retired employees of O.U.A.T.

2.3 The candidate must have completed 17 years of age by 31.12.2013.

3.3. The seats reserved separately for SC & ST candidates are not interchangeable.

3.4 The SC, ST, Green Card Holders and Physically Disable candidates with minimum 40% disability certificate to be issued by a Medical Board will also be considered with the General candidates for admission on the basis of merit besides their claims for reserved seats as per their choice.

3.5 The reserved seats for SC & ST candidates, Green Card Holders, Physically Disable

candidates, ICAR/VCI nominees falling vacant after the due dates shall be de-reserved and filled up by unreserved candidates on the basis of merit.

3.6.1 For admission into B.Sc. (Hort.) two seats for SC candidates, one seat for ST candidate, one seat for GCH candidate, five seats for unreserved candidates under general seats and one seat for SC candidate, five seats for unreserved candidates under cost sharing seats shall be reserved for candidates of Western Odisha. Candidates claiming for such reservation shall submit the permanent residential certificate issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar of his/her native area. In case of non-availability of suitable candidates, the seats will be de-reserved.

3.6.2 In the event of non production of wanting documents at the time of his /her term of

admission / counseling his / her claim for admission will be forfeited. 3.7 Over and above the intake capacity and subject to

the fulfilling the minimum eligibility in Sub-Clause 2.1 3.7.1 15% of the seats be made available for Foreign Candidates.

3.7.2 One seat will be made available for the Children of the Kashmir Migrants in each College. The candidate has to produce the domicile certificate from the District Magistrate, Govt. of J&K, in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction his/her parents had ordinarily resided during 1st January, 1980 and 31st December, 1989 by five years. Selection of the candidates for admission shall be based on the merit (Weighted Score).

3.7.3 10 (ten) seats (Sub - Clause 3.1) in Agriculture/ Horticulture and Fishery shall be made available for State Government of Odisha Sponsored VAW/LVAW/Gardener/Fishery subject to fulfilling the minimum qualification of +2 Science. Out of which 2 seats in each Colleges i.e. College of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, College of Agriculture, Chiplima, College of Agriculture, Bhawanipatna, College of Horticulture, Chiplima and College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda, Berhampur. The names on seniority basis alongwith the place of study of the sponsored candidates be submitted by the concerned Government Department which should reach the Registrar, OUAT before the last date of admission.

3.8 Candidates seeking admission under Foreign Quota Sub - Clause 3.7.1 / NRI Quota (Sub-Clause 3.2) shall be required to produce the Xerox copies of VISA and PASS PORT of themselves or of the sponsoring persons (Parents/nearest relatives) which are at least valid till the last date of admission. The above Xerox copies should be submitted to Registrar, OUAT, Bhubaneswar along with a sponsorship certificate in plain paper from sponsoring persons with his signature should be submitted alongwith Form ��B�. Photo copy of VISA & PASSPORT should be submitted alongwith its English version.

4. SELECTION PROCESS

There will be a COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION for selection of the candidates for admission into B.Sc.(Ag), B.Sc. (Forestry), B. Sc. (Horticulture), B.F.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H., and B. Tech. (Agril. Engg.) and B.Sc.(Home Science) courses. The candidates for admission will be selected solely on the basis of Merit (Weighted Score) which is based on his/her academic career performance, Entrance Examination and Extra curricular activities. If two or more candidates secure the same computed score, the tie shall be resolved and their merit positions will be decided on the basis of higher marks in the Entrance Examination or +2 Science/equivalent or HSC/equivalent in. that order.

In addition for admission in to B.Sc (Forestry) Course the candidate should qualify Physical Endurance Test to be conducted before counseling of each category.

4.1 Entrance Test

The Entrance Examination will be an objective test for 200 marks in two hours duration and the medium of Examination will be in English. The subjects of examination and marks distribution are indicated below. Subjects Marks

Candidates are to answer Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology. 4.2 Weightage to Academic Career and Entrance Examination:

Weighted score of candidates will be calculated on the basis of his/her academic career and Entrance Examination as given below:

a) H.S.C. / equivalent - 25% b) +2 Sc. /equivalent - 25% c) Entrance Examination - 50%*

Total - 100% *i.e. 1/4th of the total mark secured in the Entrance Examination

4.2.1 The H.S.C. marks without extra optional and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology (whichever is higher) at +2 Science stage will be taken in to account.

4.2.2 In case of candidates who have passed any of the examinations compartmentally, the average marks of the 1st and 2nd examinations will be taken for computation of the weighted score.

4.3 Candidates with outstanding records in extra curricular activities as detailed below will

be given extra weightage over the score computed from career marks and marks secured in the Entrance Examination. The following percentage of marks under different extra curricular activities of the students will be added to the computed score of the Academic Career and Entrance Examination to arrive at the final score.

i) Represented the country in NSS at the Direct admission without International Level Entrance Examination

SPORTS Candidates who have represented the 10% State in any sports events at all India level.

OR Candidates who have represented the Direct Admission without Entrance Country in any sports events at Examination subject to Eligibility, International level production and verification by Dean,

Students� Welfare for sports certificate. N. B.: 1. The students participating in games and sports events duly recognised and notified by the

Director of Sports for such purpose shall be eligible for the consideration to get the weightage.

2. The students will submit a separate certificate on the participation in the games/sports

from the Director of Sports & Youth Services for taking the advantage of the weightage in marks for admission.

3. A student who is desirous of availing such concessions either in Games and Sports or in

other extra curricular activities must have achieved the distinction at the +2 level.

4.4 The ICAR/VCI nominated candidates/Foreign Candidates/State Government sponsored candidates

for admission against reserved seats are not required to appear at the Common Entrance Examination. They will be admitted as such against the Reserved Seats.

4.5 The students except B.V.Sc. & A.H Course of this University who were detained in the 1st

Semester of 1st year of any Undergraduate Courses due to shortage of attendance shall have to apply afresh even if they appear the mid-term examination and compete with others for admission.

4.5.1 Any student of B.V.Sc. & A.H. who are found detained before 1st Annual composite examination due to shortage of attendance shall have to appear afresh and compete with other for admission.

4.6 Illustration for computation of weighted score

If a candidate has secured 58% marks (excluding Extra Optional marks) in H.S.C./ equivalent, 67% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology in +2 Science and 123 marks out of 200 in the Entrance Test, his/her weighted score is 0.25X 58+0.25 X67+ 0.25X 123 =62.00.

In addition, if the candidate has passed NCC 'B' Certificate, he/she gets an additional weightage of 6.20 (i.e. 10% of 62.00) and his/her weighted score becomes 62.00+6.20=68.20.

5. HOW TO GET APPLICATION FORMS & PROSPECTUS 5.1 The Application form will have two parts - Form-�A� for Entrance Examination and

Form-�B� for furnishing details of academic qualifications etc. for admission. The two forms are to be submitted on different dates as mentioned in the prospectus and l or notified otherwise.

5.2 Candidates awaiting for their results of +2 Science/equivalent examination are also

eligible to apply and appear at the Common Entrance Examination for admission into the U.G. Courses, anticipating their success in the +2 Science/ equivalent Examination.

5.3 A candidate is required to submit only one application form ('A' & 'B') irrespective of

number of U.G. Courses (as mentioned under Sub-Clause 2.1) for which he/she wishes to be considered for admission.

5.4 The application form alongwith Prospectus is available in OUAT Website. The candidate

should access OUAT Website http://ouat.ac.in to download the prospectus and / or application forms �A� and �B�. He should submit the Application Form ��A� to the Assistant Registrar (Acd.), OUAT, Bhubaneswar : 751 003 through Registered Post / Speed Post / Courier Service in due date and time by enclosing the proof of payment of the Application fee of Rs. 700/- (Rupees seven hundred) only. Payment should be made in State Bank of India site through STATE BANK COLLECT (SBI ATM-CUM-DEBIT CARD OR SBI INTERNET BANKING) or cash transfer. The details of payment process through SBI COLLECT is available in OUAT Website.

Alternatively payment may be made through Bank Draft / Bankers Cheque drawn in favour of the �COMPTROLLER, OUAT, BHUBANESWAR� payable at Bhubaneswar. The Application Form �A� received without Application Fee or after due date will be summarily rejected and the candidates will be debarred from appearing the Entrance Examination. The University will not be liable for refund of application fees received after the last date of receipt of application form.

6. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION 6.1 Submission of Application for Entrance Examination - Form "A"

The Form 'A', duly filled in along with following enclosures, should be sent by Registered Post/ Speed Post/Courier Service to the Asst. Registrar(Academic). OUAT, Bhubaneswar - 751003 in the envelope so as to reach the University Office by the due date and time as mentioned in the prospectus and/or notified otherwise. The candidates are required to write on top of the envelop �FORM-�A�, OUAT U.G. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, 2013.-14�. Incomplete applications and / or applications received after the due date for the Entrance Examination (Form A) shall be rejected. No Application Form 'A' will be received at the University Counter.

Each application must have the following enclosures: (i) Attested copies of recent passport size photograph of the candidate. These are to be

PASTED properly on the application form in the space provided for the purpose. (ii) A self-addressed unstamped envelope supplied for sending the Admit Card (iii) A self addressed unstamped Post Card for intimating the marks secured by the

candidate in the Entrance Examination. 6.2 Submission of Application for admission (Form-B)

The Form-B duly filled in along with the enclosures (as per the check list) mentioned below should be sent only by Registered Post/ Speed Post / Courier Service to the Asst. Registrar(Academic), Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar - 751003 in the plain envelope so as to reach the University Office by the due date and time as mentioned in the Prospectus and / or notified otherwise. On the top of the candidate envelop should write �FORM ��B�, OUAT U.G. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION, 2013-14).

CHECK LIST SELF SIGNED PHOTOCOPIES TO BE ENCLOSED WITH FORM �B�: i) H.S.C/SSC/ equivalent Examination Certificate, ii) Date of Birth Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended, in case the same

is not mentioned in the HSC/SSC / equivalent examination certificate. ii) HSC/SSC/equivalent Mark Sheet and +2 Science Mark Sheet. iv) SC/ST Certificate from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar. v) Certificate of Permanent Residence of parents in Odisha in case of those not having

Odia as M.I.L (See Sub-Clause 2.2 (ii). OR

Service Certificate of parents from the Head of the Office / Institution where the parent is serving in case of those not having Odia as M.I.L.

OR Certificate from the District Magistrate of the concerned District in case of Odia residing

permanently outside Odisha and not having Odia as M.I.L. (See 2.2 (iv). vi) One passport size photograph of the candidate of the same negative as was enclosed

with the Application for Entrance Examination (Form ��A�). vii) Certificates / Documents relating to Special Claims like Sports / NCC / NSS. viii) Green Card / Physical disability from the competent authority for the respective

reserved category. ix) A self addressed unstamped envelope (23 x 10 cm) x) Xerox copy of the VISA and PASSPORT in case of Foreign / NRI Candidates in English

version along with a sponsorship certificate in plain paper from sponsoring persons with signature.

xi) After payment, a copy of Bank Challan must be enclosed for proof of payment. 8

6.2.1 SELF SIGNED PHOTOCOPIES TO BE ENCLOSED WITH FORM "B" (As relevant in individual cases) (i) HSC/ SSC / equivalent Examination certificate. (ii) Date of Birth Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended, in case the same

is not mentioned in the HSC/SSC/equivalent examination certificate. (iii) HSC/SSC/ equivalent Mark Sheet and +2 Science Mark Sheet. (iv) SC/ST Certificate from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar. (v) Certificate of Permanent Residence of parents in Orissa in case of those not having

Oriya as M.I.L. (See Sub-Clause 2.2 (ii) ). OR Service Certificate of parents from the Head of the Office/Institution where the parent is

serving in case of those not having Odia as M.I.L. OR Certificate from the District Magistrate of the concerned District in case of Odia residing

permanently outside Odisha and not having Odia as M.I.L. (See 2.2 (iv)). (vi) One passport size photograph of the candidate of the same negative as was enclosed

with the Application for Entrance Examination (Form-A). (vii) Certificates/Documents relating to Special Claims like Sports/NCC/NSS (viii) Green Card / Physical disability from the competent authority for the respective

reserved category. (ix) A self addressed unstamped envelope (23 cmX10 cm) (x) Xerox copy of the VISA and PASSPORT in case of Foreign / NRI Candidates

alongwith English version. 6.2.2 The Xerox/photo copy of mark sheets should be clearly visible otherwise the same will

be rejected. 6.3 SPECIAL INSTRUCTION TO CANDIDATES 6.3.1 They must send applications (Form-A & Form �B) complete in all respects

sufficiently ahead of the closing dates to ensure receipt by the due dates (See Sub-Clause 6.1 & 6.2)

6.3.2 They must submit Form-B only after appearing at the Entrance Examination 6.3.3 They must write the Entrance Examination Roll Number at the appropriate place in the

form-B. 6.3.4 Applications (Form-A & Form-B) incomplete in any respect are liable to be rejected.

6.3.5 No application shall be received after the closing date. 6.4 The ICAR/VCI nominees/Foreign candidates/State Govt. Sponsored Candidates to be

admitted against reserved seats will pay the Application Fee and fill in the prescribed form (Form-B) at the time of their admission.

7. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION: 7.1 Entrance Examination will be held at the places indicated in Clause-20. 8. Admit Cards will be issued to the candidate by �Speed Post� indicating therein the date and

time of Entrance Examination and the Centre assigned to the candidate. No request for change of Centre will be entertained under any circumstances. The University, however, reserves the right to change the Centre preferred by a candidate, if required.

7.3 The list of candidates and other relevant documents will be available with the respective Centre Superintendent 48 hours before the commencement of the Entrance Examination. The candidates failing to receive the Admit Card in time should personally contact the Centre Superintendent 24 hours before the Entrance Examination date. Only in exceptional cases, the Centre Superintendent may allow a candidate without Admit Card to appear at the Entrance Examination on the basis of a written application along with evidence in support of payment of the Entrance Examination fee and a passport size photograph affixed thereon.

�� 7.4 Entrance Examination � Discipline 7.4.1 No Candidate will be allowed to enter the Entrance Examination Hall after 15 minutes

of the commencement of the Examination. 7.4.2 The candidate will be required to stay in the Entrance Examination Hall till the Examination is over.

7.4.3 They must bring with them a �SOFT (H.B.) PENCIL� for marking the answer sheet.

7.4.4 Disfiguring of Answer paper in any manner or putting any sign identifying mark etc. will

make the answer paper liable to rejection. 7.4.5 Adopting unfair means or indulging in any objectionable conduct in the Entrance

Examination Hall will make the candidate liable to be debarred from the Entrance Examination.

9. The Results of the Entrance Examination shall be available in the Website ouat.ac.in before

issue of Intimation letter.

8. ADMISSION 8.1 There will be one Merit List based on the weighted score (as under Clause � 4) for all

the U.G. Courses listed under the Sub-Clause 2.1 and admission will be made strictly according to merit, subject to eligibility through Counseling (Sub � Clause 2).

8.2 Candidates selected for counseling will be intimated by Registered Post/Speed Post for

taking admission on a specified date and time as indicated therein. 8.3 Some candidates in the waiting list may also be intimated to come and take their

chance for admission according to merit and depending on instant vacancies. 8.4 Admission will be conducted by an Admission Board in a phased manner spread over 7

days. No �spot� admission will be made under any circumstances. 8.5 Candidate intimated for admission will have to appear before the Admission Board on

the date and time as indicated in the intimation letter and produce the Original Certificates and Mark sheets as mentioned under Sub-Clause 6.2 and Sub Clause 8.8 for verification. Candidates who fail to produce the original certificates and mark sheets before the Board will forfeit their claim for admission. No time shall be allowed for production of the original certificates and mark sheets that determine eligibility and merit. A candidate will have the option to choose any of the Courses listed under Sub-Clause 2.1 for admission subject to his/her eligibility and availability of seats in that course.

8.6 Once a candidate exercises his/her option before the Admission Board for a particular

Course and is allowed admission into that Course, no changeover to another Course shall be allowed thereafter under any circumstances .

9.7. The candidates, who failed to appear before the Admission Board on the scheduled

date and time, will automatically and irrevocably forfeit their claims for admission. - --~ 8.8 Candidates selected for admission are required to produce the following documents at

the time of admission.

a) Original mark sheets of H.S.C/ S.S.C./Equivalent from the Board of Secondary Education / CBSE/ISSC as the case may be.

b) Original mark sheets of +2 Science from CHSE/ CBSE/ISSC. c) C.L.C. and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended. d) Original documents in support of any special claim. e) Original Medical Fitness Certificate in prescribed Form. f) Original Migration Certificate for candidates, who have passed +2 Science from

8.9 Candidates selected by the Board for admission failing to submit their College Leaving Certificate / Conduct Certificate will be provisionally admitted on payment of required fees and will be allowed five working days following the date of admission on an undertaking for submission of such documents, failing which their provisional admission will be forfeited, if not decided otherwise. The candidates belonging to the University / Institutions outside the State, will be allowed ten working days following the date of admission on the same condition.

8.10 Candidates provisionally admitted into any of the U.G. Courses without submission of Migration Certificate will have to submit the Migration Certificate within 1st Semester of 1st year, failing which they will not be allowed to appear at the 1st Semester 1st Year (Internal Examination in case of B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Examination in the 1st Semester of 1st year of their programme.

8.11 The Sponsored Candidate of the State Government shall submit his / her Relieve Order

within a fortnight of admission at the latest failing which his / her provisional admission shall be treated as cancelled.

8.12 All the candidates admitted into any Under-Graduate Course shall submit a Medical

Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format from a Govt. Medical Officer at the time of admission.

8.13 The original documents submitted at the time of admission as required, will not be

returned to the candidates even temporarily under any circumstance. However, a certified copy of the same may be given on payment of Rs.10/- for each such document.

10. If a candidate belongs to more than one category, he/she can attend the counseling centre

until he/she gets admission. A candidate can exercise his/ her option only once. His/her name will be deleted from the list for counseling, once he/she takes admission to any particular course and he/she will not be considered for admission subsequently.

8.15 If a candidate for admission is found to have indulged in ragging and expelled in the past or if it is noticed later that he / she is indulging in ragging, the admission will be refused or he/she will be expelled from the University / College.

9. ACADEMIC SYSTEM 9.1 The minimum residential period for Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering,

Forestry, Fishery, Home Science will be four consecutive years, whereas it will be five consecutive years for courses in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.

9.2 Course Programme. Instruction and Examination 9.2.1 The instruction shall be offered in English under Course Credit System. For Course

Programme of each Degree Course has been formulated into discrete courses carrying a certain number of credit hours and spread over the number of semesters prescribed for that course. An Academic year will have two semesters each having 95 Net Instruction Days.

9.2.2 For Course Programme in B.V.Sc. & A.H. Examinations for each Course Unit shall be conducted internally for 50 marks at the end of each Semester and for the rest 50 marks externally at the end of each year.

9.2.3 For other Course Programmes, a Mid �Term Examination shall be conducted at the

middle of the each Semester and the final examination shall be conducted for rest of 80 marks at the end of each Semester for each Course Unit.

9.2.4 The details of the method of Examination & Evaluation of students� performance shall be

explained to the students at the time of �ORIENTATION PROGRAMME�. The Course Programme shall be regulated as per U.G. Semester Regulation (1998) for B.V.Sc. & A.H. students and as per U.G. Semester Regulation (2009) for rest of the U. G. students.

9.3. Attendance

A student is required to have a minimum of 85% attendance in each course, failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear at the Final Examination and will be detained in that semester, subject to Regulation for condonation as indicated below. The Dean may, on the recommendation of the Instructor / Advisor concerned, condone shortage of attendance up to 15% in a course(s) in exceptional circumstances and allow such students to appear at the Final Examination on payment of the required fee. No condonation, even on medical ground, can be granted for shortage of attendance below 70% under any circumstances.

13 10.2 Hostel accommodation is compulsory for students admitted into any course. After

admission into any College each student shall be required to apply to Dean, Students' Welfare (DSW) for accommodation into the hostels located at Bhubaneswar, to the Associate Dean ,College of Agriculture, Chiplima to the Associate Dean, College of Horticulture, Chiplima for hostels located at Chiplima to the Associate Dean, College of Agriculture, Bhawanipatna for hostels located at Bhawanipatna and to the Director, College of Fisheries for hostels located at Rangeilunda. However, if the parents / guardians are staying at above mentioned places, the students may apply to Dean, Students' Welfare for permission to stay outside the hostel.

10.3 The University runs a Health Center and Physiotherapy Unit with Ambulance facility at

Bhubaneswar campus managed by qualified and experienced Doctors. It provides free outdoor treatments to students of the University.

11. STUDENT ACTIVITIES "'

11.1 Each college will have a Students' Union of the college to organize cultural and athletic / sports activities.

11.2 The Dean of Students' Welfare looks after the extra curricular activities of the students. The University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau acts as a useful channel of communication between the students and employment organizations.

12. STUDENT DISCIPLINE

A student, whether a boarder or day scholar, shall abide by the disciplinary rules and regulations of the Hostel, College and University shall not involve himself / herself in any objectionable conduct such as violation of hostel discipline, disobedience of instructions of hostel authorities, immoral conduct or disorderly behavior including "ragging". In case a student is found to be involved in any of the said undesirable activities, he/she shall be liable for expulsion from the hostel and if the offence is grave, also from the college.
