Keynote SpeakersSean Carter is the founder of Lawpsided Seminars, a compa-ny devoted to solid CLE with a healthy dose of laughter. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1992. His ten years of legal practice focused on corporate securities and merg-ers and acquisitions. In 2002,

Mr. Carter left the practice of law to pursue a career as the country’s foremost Humorist at Law. He has crisscrossed the country delivering his seminars for bar associations, law firms, in-house corporate legal departments and law schools. He presents more than 100 humorous programs yearly on such topics as legal ethics, stress management, constitutional law, legal marketing and much more. Sean lives in Mesa, Arizona, with his wife and four sons.

Marc E. Williams is the man-aging partner in Nelson Mull-ins Riley & Scarborough’s West Virginia office. His practice includes extensive experience in the trial and appellate levels of class actions and other mass torts. He is a member of the International Association

of Defense Counsel and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. He is also a former President of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia and a past president of DRI. He also serves on the board of directors of the National Foundation for Judicial Ex-cellence. He frequently lectures on litigation-related topics to national and local bar groups. He earned his J.D. from West Virginia University in 1985 and a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University in 1982.
