HISTORY
Established on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula in 1970, The Udelhoven
Companies have served the special needs of general contracting and
oil production in Alaska, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, the Caribbean and
Gulf of Mexico, Canada, China, Russia and Venezuela, for over forty-five
years. As a licensed general, mechanical and full-service contractor we
have a proven record of support in the industry.
Over the years we have maintained steady and consistent growth. With
offices in Alaska, Louisiana and Texas, we manage projects throughout
the United States and around the world.
From the beginning, Udelhoven has been guided by the operating
premise of founder Jim Udelhoven: Providing quality service by using
conscientious, professional managers and craft personnel. This
commitment has made us a dynamic growth-oriented company that
continues to meet our clients’ needs and requirements.

Udelhoven Companies share over 45 years of experience in Industrial and
Commercial Construction, Professional Technical Services, Fabrication,
Maintenance and Operations. Our Corporate office is located in Anchorage,
Alaska, providing construction and maintenance support for many global
locations. With our experienced personnel and resources, we have
diversified our products and services from new commercial and oilfield
construction development to technical services supply, maintenance and
construction management. We have an extensive database of qualified
personnel with experience in a wide area of geographic locations. Many
of our personnel have worked in the Middle East and GOM locations.
Since our inception, Udelhoven’s services have expanded from
construction, to instrumentation and controls, automation, inspection
and commissioning, maintenance in response to industrial demands and
market conditions for centralized and/or on-site services. The Udelhoven
philosophy of flexible and diverse resources and services, the highest
quality standards and the priority placed on a safe work environment, are
certain to continue to meet the demands of industry and commerce in
this continually shifting environment.

Original ly founded and operated from the Kenai Peninsula.
As the company grew, corporate headquarters were
moved to Anchorage. The company continues to be a
presence on the peninsula, with a 27,000 sq. ft . shop
and fabr icat ion site located in Kenai; the site houses
two 20 ton cranes and provides fabr icat ion support and
service to industry.

purchasing, job cost ing and invoicing on J.D. Edwards system
software are also located here.
A 5-acre fabr icat ion yard central ly located at King Street
provides fabr icat ion for ongoing jobs for both Anchorage and
for shipment to the North Slope.

The Houston off ice supports ongoing work in the fabr icat ion yards,
ref iner ies, offshore in the U.S. Gulf Coast, as wel l as Internat ional

Serving al l of the Eagle Ford Basin and surrounding areas.
Providing construct ion and maintenance, mechanical ,

a 12,000 sq. ft . fabr icat ion shop with a 10-ton overhead
crane and state-of-the-art modular fabr icat ion features.
We are a State of Texas l icensed electr ical and plumbing
contractor and our professional services sister company,
Udelhoven Inc., special izes in project start ups; FCO, and
pre-commissioning.

Rounding out the construct ion, instrumentat ion, controls and
automation f ie lds, Udelhoven Companies’ complete range of
industr ia l , commercial and maintenance services can support new
or exist ing faci l i t ies.
Many cl ients have used this service dur ing periods where faci l i ty
manpower is reduced, due to temporary shift ing of faci l i ty personnel
to other areas or projects. Short and long-term contracts are
avai lable.
Al l personnel are ful ly trained in safety awareness and receive
special ized training as required by the part icular funct ion or
locat ion. Each employee fol lows corporate safety pol ic ies except
in areas where the faci l i ty safety pol ic ies and procedures exceed
those prescr ibed by the Udelhoven Companies.
Temporary or permanent assignments of faci l i ty personnel to
other projects or responsibi l i t ies can be backf i l led by qual i f ied
electr ic ians, instrument technicians and mechanics.
Al l personnel are careful ly selected based on experience and
qual i f icat ions for each funct ion. Udelhoven Companies can also
provide experienced personnel in special ized funct ions such as
Fire Alarm and Suppression, HVAC, and Automation systems.
Cl ients may prescr ibe and review personnel qual i f icat ions pr ior
to placement.
As the Industr ia l Construct ion act iv i t ies generated a large
resource pool of personnel and expert ise, Udelhoven Companies
diversi f ied into Industr ia l and Commercial Construct ion act ing
as both a general and subcontractor. Projects have ranged from
plumbing systems to resident ia l housing and mult i-mi l l ion dol lar

being placed on information processing. Instrumentat ion/
control hardware has become more f lexible to remote networks;
networked terminals have become more powerful in processing
capabi l i t ies. Automation services provide the technical expert ise
to integrate exist ing or new equipment into a system with the
abi l i ty to expand as production or technology advances.
• Programmable logic controller (PLC) and multi-function controller (MFC) systems including conceptual design, system architecture, logic diagrams, programming and graphic operator interfaces.

Inspect ion and commissioning personnel provide for electr ical ,
instrumentat ion, controls, piping, mechanical and welding through
al l phases of a project from pre-construct ion through training and
start-up.
Funct ional ver i f icat ion of new or exist ing equipment and systems,
including vendor survei l lance, documentat ion and training.
Personnel are careful ly selected based on experience and
qual i f icat ions for each funct ion. Electr ical inspectors are l icensed
electr ical journeyman, Piping inspectors are minimum ASME QC-1
cert i f ied, and are qual i f ied to conduct PT, MT and radiographic f i lm
interpretat ion. F ire and Gas alarming and suppression personnel
are NICET cert i f ied.
Exist ing system inspection and review for technical code
compl iance and safety related codes and standards.
Documentat ion/As-Bui l t exist ing equipment and systems.
Assistance in the development and/or implementat ion of Qual i ty

By integrat ing our f ie ld personnel’s input with upper management
oversight, and by looking at work done and forecast ing hours
to complete, we can create an accurate measurement of work
progress and track projects at task level . Udelhoven uses these
programs to cont inuously monitor each step of the project.
Cost tracking and forecast ing is done in real t ime with our
integrated, customized J.D. Edwards system that incorporates al l
aspects of accounting transact ions, man-hour labor, mater ia l cost,
change orders, work orders and any other job-related expense.
With this information, we have job-to-date cost and are able to
forecast jobs for tracking and productiv i ty. The integrat ion of job
cost ing and forecast ing incorporated into a Pr imavera schedule
gives a comprehensive report of mater ia ls, open commitments,
job-to-date dol lars, man-hours and mater ia l costs.
Udelhoven Companies supports a ful ly redundant system between
off ices, which is prepared for fa i l-over in case of local fa i lure due to
f i re, etc. We have also implemented a Disaster Recovery System.

Industry Systems Software Inc. was founded in Apri l 2004 on the
basis of providing a more eff ic ient means of project management
and tracking through the use of our custom software and tablet
PCs.
With the development and deployment of our f i rst system at the
end of 2004, ISSI cont inues to provide a means for companies to
manage their construct ion, commissioning and turnover act iv i t ies
without the use of paper and paper folders.
In January of 2005, Harding Holdings (owner of Udelhoven
Companies, UOSS, UI & UI I) , acquired a major ity of ISSI stock.
Udelhoven Companies has been involved with work in Alaska
since the ear ly 1970s and has establ ished a strong presence in the
Gulf of Mexico. They have also done work in Venezuela, Austral ia,
China and other world locat ions.
We have had the pr iv i lege to work on projects in the Gulf of
Mexico and on the North Slope of Alaska. These have included
the pre-commissioning of BP At lant is in Morgan City, LA (Nov
2004 - Apr 2005), the commissioning of the Alyeska Strategic
Reconf igurat ion Project, Fairbanks, AK (Sep. 2005 - present),
the commissioning of BP At lant is, Corpus Christ i , TX (Apr. 2006 -
present), eni Petroleum , Nikaitchuq Project FCO & Commissioning,
Ol iktok Point, AK (2010-present) and BP Explorat ion Alaska (BPXA)
Greater Prudhoe Bay, AK (2009 - present).
We have continued to develop and make improvements to our
software and are current ly on our second complete re-write
DAQART™ (an acronym for Data AcQuisit ion And Reference Tool)
which wi l l enable our cl ients even more control over their projects.
