INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND OF RUMAH CHARIS
NAME:
LOCATION:
Rumah Charis is a non-profit Christian based organization which was founded
in 1988 by Reverend Teo How Ken as a home to serve the old and the aged
(Home For The Aged). Since our inception, our ministries have expanded to
include the children and the youth (Home For The Children). For more than 25
years, Rumah Charis has offered social services that provide spiritual
guidance, shelter, education and healthy community activities. Rumah Charis
was officially registered as a social welfare home with the Registrar Society of
Malaysia (ROS) in Year 1993.
Charis is actually derived from a Greek word meaning “Grace, Kindness and
Life”.
Rumah Charis serves the community in two ways which is establishing two
different groups, Home For The Aged and Home For The Children.

LOGO DESIGN
For the logo design, we were inspired by our seniors and thus, we came out with the
ideas of #reachout2.0. We wish to contribute to society through this activity and
reach out to every individual who needs help.
So, I designed a simple logo for our project.
These are the two drafts to be voted on which to be used:-
After voting, the second logo was used.

I was discussing with my friends on how to designing the photo frame.
I m obliged for the first game, Handy Crafty and so, while waiting for my friends to set
up their booth. I talked to few kids who had returned from their schools. This approach
is to get know of them and know about their normal lifestyle over here.

REFLECTION
REFLECTION
This event had been ended wonderfully.
This was a great experience as we could help and give warmth to those who
needed our help. The kids were wonderful and positive even if they had been through
some hardships in their young age.
We talked, we understood, and we consoled each other through this event.
Even though we knew each other for few hours but that was more than enough as the
time was fulfilled with happiness and good memories.
Of course, there will be some hyperactive children which are quite not
obedient. However, our members are able to communicate with them and be friends
with them which is really heartwarming.

Besides, I realized that we, the whole classmates had bonded stronger through
this event. During this few crucial weeks, we known each other more and we
communicated well to solve many issues. Collaboration and cooperation are important
and we did it. Everyone did their parts well and enjoyed at the very moment.
Nevertheless, there might be some mates who did not give full cooperation
but then, they were willing to help out on the event day to make the event successful.
This is truly heartwarming and touching.
It goes without saying that our tutor, Miss Tay had given us a lot of support
and suggestions thought out this event. She guided us and even participated in our
meeting. Most importantly, Miss Tay lent us a lot of equipment to make our event
more complete and interesting.
Last but not least, I opined that this module is really interesting and inspiring.
We learnt a lot of lessons through this module and beautiful memories were created
as well.
