Magazine Show 10 Final ScriptFEATURE 1 - ASHLEY YOUNG TIME PICTURE:SOUND
Lyrics 01:09 After song lyrics Ashley with polystyrene letters Injury is the sportsmans curse. After missing two months Manchester Uniteds Ashley Young is desperate to make up for lost time. And where better to do that than in the rarefied air of the UEFA Champions League? Soundbite???? 01:25 SOT: ASHLEY YOUNG (ENGLISH)
YOUVE GOT TO HAVE THE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF TO GO OUT THERE AND SEE IF YOU CAN GET TO THAT HIGHEST LEVEL; YOUVE GOT TO HAVE THAT BELIEF IN YOURSELF. AND IVE ALWAYS SAID THAT I BELIEVE THAT I CAN GET TO THE HIGHEST LEVEL IN MY CAREER, PLAY IN THE BIGGEST COMPETITIONS, PLAY FOR THE BIGGEST CLUB, WHICH I AM, I'M AT THE BIGGEST CLUB IN THE WORLD, AND I NEVER TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED; I GO IN EVERY DAY AND WORK HARD, AND I WANT TO ACHIEVE, I WANT SUCCESS.
That hunger was clear when Young was only 10. Chris Cummins, now a coach at Uniteds Premier League rivals Reading, spotted the child prodigy and took him to Watford Football Club. Young flourished initially making the final step was the problem. . ASHLEY GOT TO SIXTEEN AND HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST GIFTED PLAYERS THAT WE HAD WORKED
SOT: CHRIS CUMMINS
WITH BUT UNFORTUNATELY HE WASNT, IN SOME PEOPLES EYES, ATHLETIC ENOUGH OR PHYSICAL ENOUGH TO PLAY THE GAME AND HE GOT GIVEN A NEGATIVE DECISION AT SIXTEEN.
SOT: ASHLEY YOUNG (ENGLISH)
ITS DISAPPOINTING, AS A KID, REALLY, YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU GET A DISAPPOINTING ANSWER, ITS TOUGH TO TAKE. SO I THINK THATS THE POINT IN MY CAREER THAT IVE ALWAYS SAID IS A DOWN SIDE. BUT I LOOK BACK TO THAT WHEN THINGS ARE NOT GOING SO RIGHT, AND THAT SPURS ME ON TO GO FURTHER, AND I THINK THATS HELPED ME FROM THAT POINT IN MY CAREER, RIGHT UP UNTIL NOW.
With Cummins support, Young persevered, turning up to train at no cost to the club. Within a year Watford had recognised their mistake and offered him a contract. Four years later they sold him to Aston Villa at a major profit.
SOT: CHRIS CUMMINS (ENGLISH)
IT JUST SAYS A LOT ABOUT HIS CHARACTER AND THAT, AND HOW HE IS, AND HOW THEY ARE AS A FAMILY THAT HE GETS THAT NEGATIVE DECISION AND HE TURNS IT AROUND BECAUSE IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO SAY, WELL, NOT FOR ME, ILL GO AND DO SOMETHING ELSE

Five years and one life changing transfer later Young is an England international enjoying all the trappings of success at Manchester United. Hes 27 - approaching the peak of his powers and although still slight of stature, hes learned to adapt his game to complement his physique. YOU THINK ABOUT HOW THE GAME IS GOING TO GO, YOU WORK OUT STRATEGIES DURING THE GAME, HOW YOU ARE GOING TO GET PAST THE
SOT: ASHLEY YOUNG (ENGLISH)
HEIGHT THING AND YOU JUST GET ON WITH THE GAME AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT IVE DONE THROUGHOUT MY CAREER. IM NOT THE TALLEST NOW, BUT IVE GOT A JOB TO DO OUT THERE AND WHETHER ITS HEIGHT, WHETHER YOU ARE TALL OR SMALL, YOU JUST GO OUT THERE TO PLAY THE GAME. 03:53 Archive Young lineup/shouting then into Ashley goal from last season On the biggest club stage he has a point to prove on. Youngs first taste of the UEFA champions League ended with United failing to progress from the group stage for the second time in 16 years. Home form was their Achilles heel
SOT: ASHLEY YOUNG (ENGLISH) Paint with chance
WHENEVER A TEAM COMES TO OLD TRAFFORD, THEY WANT TO BEAT THE BIGGEST TEAM IN THE WORLD. IT'S LIKE A CUP FINAL FOR TEAMS WHEN THEY COME THERE. SOME TEAMS WILL ATTACK, SOME TEAMS WILL DEFEND, LAST AND IN IT THE WAS CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEASON
DISAPPOINTING. WE GOT ONLY ONE WIN AT HOME, AND FOR A TEAM LIKE US, WE ARE BETTER THAN THAT, WE ALL KNOW THAT. 04:27 Warming up Matchday three and Ashley Young was back for the visit of Braga. He had to be content with a place on the bench and was not sitting comfortably as the first 20 minutes saw all the problems from last seasons home campaign resurface. Alan opened the scoring for the Portuguese after just 90 seconds . 04:44 After goalkeeper der turned stand in centre back Michael Carrick inside out and Alan grabbed his and Bragas second goal ..
A major upset was a real possibility . But Javier Hernndez reduced the deficit before half time
And just after the hour, Jonny Evans equalised.
With United on top Sir Alex Ferguson decided against unleashing Ashley Young. And Hernndez grabbed his second and the winner 15 minutes from time. So United maintain their perfect record so Young should get his chance to make his mark on the UEFA Champions League at the sharp end of this seasons competition.
Magazine Show 10 Galatasaray vs CFR Cluj
Going into their Group H match with CFR Cluj, Galatasarays home form in Europe made for unhappy reading. No win in four and the Turks were soon behind, their defender Dany Nounkeu turning in Camoras cross for an own goal.
End of replay
Cluj had Matias Aguirregaray sent off and Galatasaray missed a penalty before Burak Ylmaz equalised for the home side in the 77th minute. It was their first goal in the competition this season. Clujs good form in the UEFA Champions League hasnt been reflected domestically and this was coach Ioan Andones final match before parting company with the club.
Manchester Uniteds comeback sees them comfortably top Group H, five points clear of second place Cluj. Galatasaray face a real uphill task from here.
Magazine Show 10 Arsenal vs Schalke
Against Schalke, Arsenal succumbed to only their second defeat in 45 home games in European competitions. Klass-Jan Huntelaar is in a rich vein of form. Dutchman scored his 11th
goal in eight European
appearances, giving Huub Stevens Germans the lead in the 76th minute. And as Arsenal searched for an equaliser, Huntelaars compatriot Ibrahim Afellay gave Schalke a deserved two-nil win.
Magazine Show 10 Montpellier vs Olympiacos
Olympiacos gained their first points of this seasons UEFA Champions League away at Montpellier. In the dying moments, Kostas Mitroglou scored a dramatic winner for the Greeks, who only had two shots on goal during the entire game.
Thats all they needed though as Olympiacos triumphed two-one. Despite controlling the game, Montpellier still search for a win in the competition. So Schalke who move ahead of Arsenal into top spot, while Olympiacos win means theyre within touching distance of the top two.
Magazine Show 10 Malaga vs AC Milan
Teams out Action
In Group C, AC Milans dismal time continued at Mlaga. Struggling in Serie A and in the UEFA Champions League the Italian giants went behind in the second half to Joaquins fourth goal in five games in all competitions.
One-nil it ended. Its Mlagas first season of European football and they remain unbeaten at home in UEFA Champion
