UCAS Applications Key Points:
• UCAS co-ordinates all applications to UK universities
• On-line service
• deadlines, cost
• 5 choices of university/course combination
allowed
• Basic registration simple
• takes about 15 minutes
• Gives you username that you then use to APPLY

– Will be updated as needed once Apply 2014 goes live

• Key Things to Remember:
• Complete all Mandatory fields
• You need to accept Terms and Conditions to proceed
• Use Home address not school
• Use appropriate email address • Not your school one as this will not be available for the duration of the UCAS
process
• Remember your username, password and security
questions • Write them down somewhere safe
• You will receive an email when you have successfully registered with a
verification code you will need later
• You can now log in to APPLY
Online Registration
• Key Things to remember:
• Specify that you are applying through school
• You need the school buzzword – TBSHS14 (case-sensitive)
• Select your current tutor group
• Keep record of personal ID – This is needed if you have to phone UCAS for any reason
• Spelling and punctuation – missing capital letters give such a bad impression
• Accuracy of data – (again, missing or inaccurate results gives a terrible impression).
• Save all of your changes!

• Key Things to remember:
• Complete “Personal Details”, “Education” and
“Employment sections” – By 14 June (school will notify you once APPLY 2014 is live and ready for use)
– Refer to sources of help if you are uncertain
• “Choices” and “Statement” – These will be completed next term
