Founded in 1907, the University
of Central Arkansas (UCA) is a
state institution located in the city
of Conway, Arkansas. UCA’s most
famous alumnus is former NBA
star Scottie Pippen.

The Intensive English Program (IEP) at UCA is a four-level academic program in English
as a Second Language. It helps students acquire the skills needed to succeed in American colleges and universities.
The majority of UCA IEP students
transition seamlessly
into our numerous
undergraduate or graduate academic programs. In addition to an academic focus, this program offers cultural enhancement components such as the Conversation Partner program, various group trips and excursions as well as celebrations recognizing American and international cultural traditions.

Living on CampusLiving-Learning Communities or
Residential Colleges are clustered living
communities on UCA’s campus that group
students and live-in faculty with similar
interests, allowing for a community-style
living and learning experience.
HUGHES “Living Leadership” cultivates interests
in the areas of education, business, law,
politics, and public service.
STATE “Global Citizenship” is a community for
liberal arts enthusiasts with studies such as
English, geography, history, philosophy &
religion, political science, sociology, and
world languages, literatures & cultures.
SHORT/DENNEY “Living the Arts” encourages and supports
those with diverse interests and talents in
various areas of performing and fine arts.
STEM “Living Science, Technology, Engineering
& Mathematics” welcomes students with
interests in sciences, technology, pre-
engineering, or mathematics.
BARIDON FOR SOPHOMORES “Live Well. Lead Well,” is dedicated to
students with a common interest in service
projects and exploring and developing
leadership skills.

We encourage international students
to participate in UCA study abroad
programs. We offer affordable academic
coursework, internships and experiential
learning abroad. With over 20 partner
universities, students can earn UCA credit
while spending a semester or year in Spain,
France, Canada, Mexico, The Netherlands
and many other locations around the world.
We also provide low-cost opportunities for
students to take courses while traveling
with UCA faculty each summer in countries
such as England, France, Italy, Costa Rica
and New Zealand. More information can

Cost of Attendance and Scholarships*
The cost of attendance is approximately
$20,000 USD for one academic year of
study.
Graduate students may be eligible for
assistantship scholarships through the
Graduate School. The amounts awarded
vary depending on department in which
the student is employed. A separate
application is required to apply for graduate
assistantships at uca.edu/graduateschool.
For admission consideration all required documentation must be received by the following deadlines:
Fall Term (August - December) June 1
Spring Term ( January - May) November 1
Summer Term ( June - August) April 1

English Language Proficiency – TOEFL (PBT=500, CBT=173, IBT=61); IELTS 6.0
Proof of financial support for one full year of academic study
Secondary school diploma and transcripts with a 2.0 GPA on US grading scale
University transfer students will submit university transcripts with a 2.0 GPA on US grading scale
Application for international admission
International application fee $50
English Language Proficiency – TOEFL (PBT=550, CBT=213, IBT=80); IELTS 6.5; or a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. university.
Proof of financial support for one full year of academic study
University diploma and transcripts with a 2.7 GPA on US scale
GRE exam scores or GMAT exam scores (business only)

City of ConwayWith a population of more than 55,000,
the city of Conway is a creative blend of
modern and quaint. The city is home to
three universities and a thriving business
community.
Several major international corporations
can be found in the city of Conway. Such
companies include Hewlett Packard, the
world’s largest technology company that
serves more than one billion customers in
more than 170 countries. Also located in
Conway and headquartered in Arkansas,
Acxiom Corporation is one of the world’s
largest data centers with operations in
Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia
Pacific.
Conway is one of the fastest-growing cities

State of ArkansasFormer US President Bill Clinton is from
the state of Arkansas. In our capital city,
visitors can tour the William J. Clinton
Presidential Library & Museum with
the largest archival holdings within the
president library system. Wal-Mart, the
world’s largest retailer, is headquartered
in Arkansas. Big cities such as Dallas, St.
Louis, Memphis, New Orleans and Atlanta
are within 500 miles of Arkansas and the
Gulf Coast is just a day’s drive away.
The weather in Arkansas has four distinct
seasons, ranging from warm, temperate
summers to occasional snowfall in the winter
season. Our clean, fresh and natural state, with
