UPDATES

Kingsway Tyres officially launched the all new BFGoodrich® All terrain T/A® KO2 tyre during this year’s Total Motor show held from 18th - 20th September at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. The launch was marked by an outstanding display of the tough KO2 tyres fitted to a Land Rover (courtesy of RMA motors) pitched high up on wooden logs. Above this remarkable display was an action-packed video showing the various tests carried out on the KO2 tyre, on different terrain and various conditions.

Speaking during the launch, Kingsway Tyres CEO, Aashit Shah reiterated the KO2’s toughness, durability and traction. “KO2 has great appeal to off-road enthusiasts as its improved tread-life and strong road-manners deliver great benefits whether for work, play or just to get home,” he said.

The KO2 tyre is based on three pillars: toughness, traction and tread-life. The tyre features a racing-derived, cut-resistant, chip-resistant and tear-resistant tread compound that delivers longer life. The compound is molded into an aggressive, computer-optimized, high-void, all terrain pattern with interlocking tread blocks and multiple loose object ejection features to combine off-road durability and traction with on-road handling and acceptable noise.

It has tougher sidewalls, more on/off road miles and superior terrain traction. The KO2 tyre has been tested to withstand the toughest terrains in the world and can smoothly traverse through sand, mud and gravel.

BFGoodrich® All terrain T/A® KO2 tyre comes in 37 different sizes developed to meet the needs of jeep, pickup truck and sport utility vehicle drivers who want confidence and control on and off road.

Regularly check your tyre pressure. Do this at least once a month and, as and when there is loss of pressure. Remember to also check the inflation pressure and condition of your spare tyre.

Wheel balancing, alignment and tyre rotation should be done after every service (or after a mileage of 5,000km). This helps to extend the tyre life. Timings may however vary based on the driving habits and road surface conditions.

Ensure valve caps are fitted to tyre valves to prevent entry of dust and to prevent air from escaping the tyre.

Always ensure your tyres are of the same brand, pattern, size and tread depth. If you are to replace two tyres replace on the same axle and fit least worn-out tyres on the rear for better grip.
