One of the largest dinosaurs that ever lived Tyrannosaurus rex was a fierce carnivore. Scientists believe this powerful predator could eat up to 500 pounds.And they can eat 230 kilograms of meat in one bite. Fossils of T. rex prey, including Triceratops and Edmontosaurus, suggest Tyrannosaurus crushed and broke bones as it ate.

• The Tyrannosaurus family, of which the most famous species is T. rex, were among the last dinosaurs to appear on the planet, around 80m years ago. These large carnivorous theropods were only on the planet for a relatively short time, but they had a huge impact on our understanding of dinosaurs - partly because more specimens exist from these final stages than any earlier time in history.

• The Tyrannosaurus Rex roamed North America and Asia.There have been 24 good skeletons, of the T.Rex, found in the world. There is no evidence that the T.Rex took care of their babies. The babies were very helpless after birth. There are many theories about how the dinosaurs died. One is that an asteroid hit earth and blocked out the sun. That caused the plants to die and that made the plant-eaters die. The T.Rex died because there were no plant-eaters left to eat.

• The T.Rex was about 20 feet tall, the height of a two story building.He weighed around 15 tons. That's the weight of 7 1/2 elephants. Tyrannosaurus Rex means "Tyrant of Lizards" because the T.Rex was a tyrant to the dinosaurs.

off the southeastern coast of Africa, Madagascar is well known for being home to some of the most unusual animals on Earth. And apparently that rule was no different during the age of the dinosaurs. 70 million years ago, Madagascar was inhabited by such weirdos as pug-nosed, land-dwelling, plant-eating crocodiles, flying raptors, giant, thick-skulled carnivorous dinosaurs, and one small carnivorous dinosaur that would make anyone today glad that braces and retainers were invented; Masiakasaurus.

• Masiakasaurus was a very strange looking dinosaur from Madagascar.. It had a long neck and tail, walked on two feet, and weighed about as much as a German shepherd, but is most unique characteristics is its front teeth.  They stuck almost straight out from the front of its mouth. This dental feature has been found on some flying reptiles, but this is the first time that it has been found on a dinosaur.

Information Information • This strange adaptation,

which evolved separately in Pterosaurs and Masiakasaurus, is an example of a process known as convergent evolution. And since the pterosaurs with this type of dentition were fish-eaters that prevented their slippery prey from wriggling out of their mouths by impaling them on their teeth, Masiakasaurus likely used its teeth to catch fish as well.
