Establishing shot
This is an establishing shot. The camera shot gives us a bigger view of whats happening in the film and we can see different things from further away. It also allows us to see the setting and see what the conditions are like in this area

Wide shot/long shot
This is a wide/long shot. This camera shot allows us to see from the side of the picture and gives us a better understanding of the setting and what’s happening in the film

Medium shot
This is a medium shot. It focuses on the character closer so we can understand the characters feelings and facial features and it gives us a better understanding of what type of character they are.

Close up shot
This is a close up shot. This focuses mainly on the characters face which clearly allows us to understand what he is thinking and how he is feeling.

Medium close up
This is a medium close up. It gives us more information on the character and allows us to see his facial features but also what is happening directly behind him

Extreme close up
This is a extreme close up shot. This camera shot focuses solely on a certain feature of a character and in these cases, the eyes. This allows us to see what kind of character they are and get an undrstanding of what they are feeling.

Point of view shot
This is a point of view shot. This allows us to see what the character is seeing and as if we are the characters eyes. This could allow us to see what they are thinking about doing or what they are doing at this moment in time.

Over the shoulder shot
This is an over the shoulder shot. This allows us to see both/all characters and see what they are thinking and what they could be doing. This view makes it look like we are there with the characters and part of what is happening.

Two shot
This is a two shot. This camera shot allows us to see both characters that are together in that part of the film. The shot also gives us an insight into what is happening at this time and what the characters are doing.

Shot reverse shot
This is a shot-reverse-shot. This allows us to see the characters who are looking at eachother and we can also see what each character in this scene can see, again as if we were there.

High angle shot
This is a high angle shot. This camera shot is taken from higher up than the character and looking down at them. This makes the character look smaller and possibly less powerful and can be used to emphasise their little importance

Low angle shot
This is a low angle shot. This camera shot is taken from lower than the character and is used to make the character look bigger and more powerful.
