Just as we knew,several days before gateway 3ds team released their v3.0 firmware to support running 3ds games on N3DS V9.2-4.1. In other word,gateway 3ds now can run 3ds games on 3ds v4.5+.

Method 1

Note : If your console firmware was v4.6-9.2,then you dont need use gateway blue card to boot up gateway mode

Steps

1.Download latest Gateway Ultra V3.0.1 from official site and unzip it,open the folder and open the GW_Ultra_3.0.1(Public Beta) folder ,Format your SD card,then put this file into your SD card,then insert the SD card to your N3DS SD Card Slot,Access the gateway mode ,Power on the 3ds console.

2.click the internet browser icon ,.Click URL ,Enter http://go.gateway-3ds.com, click confirm.

3.The light should be on when it is turned on,And the top screen will show enabled,Now click refresh icon ,you will go to the page and then the screen will turn black and then restart, and you will see the pic below which means you access the gateway mode successfully.If your gateway 3ds card has been updated to the latest version, when you click the boot gateway mode, you will be taken to the main screen,put your gateway red 3ds with 3ds game roms into your console ,.and just click “select”, the rom list will show up, choose the games you want play, then enjoy the games.If your gateway 3ds card is not the latest, when you click the boot gateway mode,the system will ask you update,follow the system guide to update,After the update prcoess complete, just click A to exit ,then click boot gateway mode, the screen will turn black and then restart,Click Select to show the game list,then you can choose the games you want play now on your N3DS V4.5+ console.

Method 2

After downgrading finished,then download latest v3.0.1 firmware,unzip it,open the folder and copy the root blue card (R4i) folder into your micro sd card,and put the latest launcher into your SD card,then power on your console to boot up gateway installer,after finished,you will back home menu,then choose Setting—-other setting—-profile—-Nintendo DS Profile to boot up gateway mode,if your console firmware has been updated to v3.0.1,then you can insert your red gateway 3ds with 3ds roms directly to play games,if now,you need to update your card first,just follow the system guide,then you will finish.
