Part of page from Martand Panchang for 2064 BK (2007-08 CE) Kartik Sangrand is shown on 17 October, and the time is given as 41 Ghati 27 Pala from Chandigarh sunrise which translates into 11:05 p.m. IST. Compare the date and time with that given on the previous page from a different source.. Each year there are 4 to 5 Bikrami Sangrand dates differing by one day in the two systems, each claiming that Sangrand is on Rasi Parvesh! Vast majority of the Indian astronomers have rejected Surya Siddhanata as not very accurate. But, that was the source of calendar calculations in Guru Sahiban's time, and even up to 1960s. Some panchang editors still use it. Please see the date marked with red border.
