This twitter page remained strictly focused on educating and informing students. In the photo provided below, you can see that every post had to do with our class. It provided much information on the modules we were completing and learning as well as the pillars we were researching. I will continue to follow our class twitter page because it has helped me by informing me of things I did not know and by reminding of things that I may have forgotten!

@ci350class : Following the class twitter page was the most helpful out of

the other four twitters I chose to follow. This twitter page remained strictly

focused on educating and informing students. In the photo provided below,

you can see that every post had to do with our class. It provided much

information on the modules we were completing and learning as well as the

pillars we were researching. I will continue to follow our class twitter page

because it has helped me by informing me of things I did not know and by

reminding of things that I may have forgotten!

@datruss :I actually and surprisingly did enjoy following David Truss.

Although not all of his tweets were devoted to education alone, he made

things fun and interesting which allude to how his class must be ran. A

teacher that can make learning fun and exciting for a student is a successful

teacher. What really caught my eye with Truss were his videos and pictures.

I started going through all of his past posts of videos and pictures and they

almost all had to do with 21st century education and making learning fun.

Below is a clipping of just some of the photos from his timeline. As you can

tell, it seems that Truss also used something similar to our Secondlife

assignment.

@stumpteacher : He is a teacher who has won teacher of the year. Winning

that award and accomplishing that feat is no easy task, so he must do a

great job at teaching and getting the students involved. Josh Stumpenhorst

was constantly posting new tweets and informing people. One of his recent

posts was actually on 21st century education. It was through his twitter that

I realized that teachers can use twitter as a way of communicating ideas and

aspirations. Two of the other twitter names that I chose to follow for this

assignment also follow him; this signifies to me that he must post very

informative things due to the fact so many other professionals follow him.

Below is one of his tweets that focuses on similar things that we have

focused on.

@shannoninottawa : Shannon Smith is the last name that I have chosen to

follow. Her twitter is not restricted to just school topics, but many of her

posts discuss and acknowledge the creation of a twitter page solely for

educational use. Some of her posts did happen to include many ideas that

teachers can use. One is posted below. With the recent death of Nelson

Mandela, teachers took famous quotes of his, wrote them largely on paper

and hung them around the walls. Students could get involved in this by

researching Madela, finding famous quotes of his and discovering their

meanings, and turning it into a project. This is just a suggestion, but I like

how she did not solely rely on her own information. Smith retweeted most of

her educational tweets to spread learning techniques, styles, and ideas.
