Prepare to Pass ACCA Study School – Nov 2015 Tutors’ Profiles Mike Ashworth – Lead tutor F9 and P4 Mike has been a full time tutor with Becker Professional Education - ATC International since 1997, working exclusively in Central and Eastern Europe. During that time he has been based in UK, Prague and Moscow and is responsible for producing all related materials for F9 and P4. Mike lectures for the ACCA and CIMA qualifications covering papers in financial accounting, management accounting and financial management. A member of both the ICAEW and CFA Institute, Mike’s awards include first prize in his final ACA exams, and PQ Magazine Overseas Lecturer of the Year 2010. Nick Ryan –Lead tutor F2, F5, P3, and P5 Nick Ryan has worked as an ACCA tutor in Central and Eastern Europe for 14 years, including 10 years with Becker Professional Education - ATC International, where he teaches and writes materials. Nick specialises in performance management and business strategy. In addition to working as a tutor, Nick is a member of the marking team for the ACCA Advanced Performance Management exam. He also regularly writes articles for the ACCA student accountant magazine. Prior to working in training, Nick trained with KPMG in London, where he qualified as a chartered accountant (ICAEW). Phil Bradbury – Lead tutor F7 and P2, and DipIFRS Phil is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He qualified as a Management Accountant in 1984 whilst working in the UK Public Sector. He began his career as an accountancy and finance instructor in 1985, training civil servants for professional accountancy qualifications. Phil has been a senior lecturer with Becker Professional Education - ATC International since 1998 and is subject specialist for papers F7 (Financial Reporting) and P2 (Corporate Reporting), and the ACCA DipIFRS, and both lectures and authors our materials for all of these subjects. Keith Rye – Lead tutor F8, P1, and P7 Keith trained and qualified with Price Waterhouse in the UK (1975-1982) and then became a training manager overseas with Coopers & Lybrand. Keith has extensive practical experience in audit and quality control reviews which is reflected in his presentation of the ACCA auditing papers (F8 and P7) and the corporate governance, risk and ethics paper (P1). He also teaches the ACCA papers F1, F2 and F3 as well as presenting courses on International Standards of Auditing (ISA). Keith has been with Becker Professional Education – ATC International for fourteen years, initially based in Prague. For the last eight years Keith has been based at our Kiev centre. Darek Bargiel – ACCA papers F2, F3, F7, and P2 Darek worked in Deloitte & Touche, Poland as an auditor for 5 years where he also obtained ACCA. Over the last 16 years he has been working for Becker Professional Education - ATC International as a professional tutor specialising in Financial Reporting (IFRS) and Management Accounting. Darek regularly delivers ACCA courses (paper F2, F3, F7 and P2), CIMA courses (C1, C2 and F1) and the Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR). Durgesh Desai – ACCA paper F6 Durgesh qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1987 after completing a first degree in Commerce. His work experience includes Deloitte, AAT and Chart Foulks-Lynch. Over his career, Durgesh has lectured on Taxation and Financial Accounting in many countries including China, Azerbaijan, Russia, Trinidad, Malaysia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Pakistan to name a few.

Amanda Snoxell – ACCA paper P6

Amanda is a first class tax tutor with over 10 years teaching experience: first with BPP and now with First

Intuition. Amanda regularly helps First Intuition students achieve success in their ACCA exams. Prior to joining

the teaching profession Amanda worked in a small practice and prior to that in industry. Amanda is ACCA and

CTA qualified

Peter Hanslip – ACCA paper P6

Peter is an exceptional tutor who has taught tax, financial management and management accounting for First

Intuition for over two years. Students’ rate Peter’s teaching very highly and Peter is passionate about giving

students whatever help he can. Prior to teaching, Peter worked as an auditor at the National Audit Office and

before that as a product controller at UBS Investment Bank. Peter is ACA qualified
