Reminders ……

Please remember that there are many bins around the college for litter, this is your college so keep it clean!

Please wear your Student lanyards (around your neck) at all times whilst on College Grounds. If you forget it, you will need to collect a label from Reception. If you have a lost it, one free replacement will be issued. A charge of £3 will be made after that.

Please note that students must not wear hats/hoodies whilst in College, unless they have a personal/medical issue and have been excused from this rule.

In addition to the new Bus Service operating from Whiteley, Locks Heath and Warsash, Fareham College students are able to use the St. Vincent's Bus which collects from Park Gate and Brookfield School and drops off at CEMAST. Please visit their website for the timetable. PLEASE REMEMBER TO FLAG THE BUS IF YOU WANT IT TO STOP!

If you are late for class, you must visit Student Services for a Late Slip! Lateness will be monitored centrally.

Attendance

It is extremely important that students make sure that they are on time for lessons throughout the day. When you are late, not only does it mean you miss part of the lesson, but you also disrupt the rest of the class and your lecturer. Late slips are being logged and repeated lateness will be monitored by senior management and appropriate action will be taken.

Reporting an absence If you are under 18, we must have authorisation from a parent/guardian of your absence. This

means that a parent/guardian must call the absence line in the morning to inform Karen French of the reason why you will not be attending college that day.

Signing out If you are under 18, we must have authorisation from a parent/guardian that they are happy for

you to leave college. We will call a parent/guardian to get their authorisation before letting you leave the campus.

If you are signing in or out for a doctors/dental appointment it is really helpful if you can bring in an appointment card, this will then authorise your absence and save us from calling home.

And Finally ……..

Thank you to those that attended the Freshers Fair in the Mall on Wednesday, it was a huge success!

Below are a few pictures from the event.
