Tut ankhamon:
He is one of the most famous rulers of
ancient Egypt , his fame not for hisgreatness or great works like his
predecessors but his fame came from the
discovery of his intact tomb in 1922 in the
vally of kings at luxor the the british
archeologist HOWARD CARTER.
May be he was the son of akhnaten, so he
succeded him on the throne at the
beginning named after tutankh atun
reflecting his relationship with aten but with
the pressure of the god amon priesthood he
changed his name to tutankh amun which
mean the live image of amon.
The tomb:-
The tomb itself is a modest tomb it is not asuitable for a king so it is thought it was
belonging one of his employee
And because he died so young they buried
him quickly.

The tomp description:
It is composed of enterance
,corridor,antechamber, and the burial
chamber.In which The funeral objects were heaped
up.
The shrines:-
The tomb of Tutankhamun contained four gilded shrines nested
one inside the other like Russian dolls.
in order of decreasing size .
they are made of cedar panels and oak which coated with
gesso (stucco) and a thin sheet of gold.and decorated by a sunk
relief .
Outer Shrine (no. 207)
the outermost one, measures 5.08 by 3.28 meters and was 2.75 meters high. 32 millimetersthick. Both the inside and outside of these panels were gessoed, gilded and inlaid.
The innermost shrine :-
contained the red quartzite sarcophagus of King Tut which protected threeanthropoid, or man-shaped,coffins.
The sarcufagi
The first two anthropoid coffins were made of gilded wood but the final coffin was made of solid
gold. The solid gold coffin housed the mummy of King Tut which was directly covered by his

It is also made of gilded wood and was decorated by the four protective godess of the sarcofphagus
At each side of this shrine stands an elegant statue of one of the four female divinities in charge of
protecting the deceased king, their arms stretched out in a gesture of protection. These goddesses
are Isis, Nephthys, Neith, and Sereket.
Canopic jars
Canopic chests, or canopic jars, They were used to contain the internal organs of individuals
removed during the process of mummification.
The suns hade
Sunshade was used to protect the king or the high officials from the heat of the sun. A sunshade consisted of a tall pole with a collapsible canopy, all in
wood, that supported a fabric covering or a light wooden board.

Some dboxes and containers made of wood and inlaid with ivory.
1-This scene is from the side of a chest, made of wood covered in a
layer of plaster, which is painted with incredibly detailed scenes of
Tutankhamun - either hunting wild animals or in battle.
In this scene the king is leading his army into battle. He is shown
standing in his chariot, ready to fire his arrows into his enemies,
who lie in disorder at his horse's feet.

Some of throne chairs
1-This throne is made from wood, which is partly gold plated and
inlaid with minute pieces of ivory, ebony, semi-precious stones and
coloured glass.
The deeply curved seat (designed to hold a cushion) is inlaid with
ebony and ivory in imitation of a spotted animal skin.
2-The most elaborate of Tutankhamun's thrones is made of wood
completely covered in gold, and in some places silver, with inlay of
coloured semi-precious stones and glass paste.
The back depicts the seated Tutankhamun, with his queen,
Ankhesenamun, anointing him with perfume, beneath a floral
pavilion. The rays of the sun god Aten shine on the couple, giving
them the sign for life, the Ankh.
