About ISTQB The ISTQB (www.istqb.org) was officially founded as an International Software Testing Qualifications Board in Edinburgh in November 2002. Vipul Kocher Vipul Kocher holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters Degree in Computer Technology from IIT Delhi. He also holds ISTQB advanced level certification. He is a Co-founder of PureTesting, a global testing services organization, along with Rex Black and Anil Baid. He has over a dozen years of testing experience. Prior to Pure Testing he built

and led testing teams at reputed companies such as Adobe Systems, Aplion Networks and River Run Software Group. He has managed testing for various award-winning products such as Adobe Reader, routers and network management products, mail and database access products for mobile devices and desktops etc. Vipul has consulted, and conducted trainings for several large and midsize companies. He was won accolades for the content and quality of testing trainings for several organizations in Financial Services, Datacom, eLearning, Automotive, and Product Engineering domains. Vipul has presented papers and tutorials at various international testing conferences through out the world. He is also the inventor of Q-Patterns, a method of capturing testing knowledge, and writing reusable test cases. This paper was awarded ‘Most Original Contribution Award’ by Logica-CMG at EuroStar 2005, and ‘Best Paper Award’ at StarEast 2006. Vipul is also President of the Indian Testing Board, a recognized National Board of the International Software Testing Qualification Board (ISTQB). Vipul represented India in the effort for creation of new ISTQB syllabus as well as the glossary of testing terms which has been adopted as British Standard.

Bernard Homes Founder and principal consultant for TESSCO Technologies Inc (a Software Testing & Training consultancy), Bernard Homès is past-member of the board of IEEE (France) and active in various software testing association and workgroups. After 25+ years in software development and testing with different consultancies, he set up the TESSCO group in Europe and Canada to

provide training and consultancy services worldwide. After helping a major Canadian customer in setting up a test center specializing in health care soft-ware certification, offering consultancy services for a major French telecom company, and software quality assurance services for a French satellite solutions providers, Bernard is now in charge of quality assurance for EuroCopter Group, the world leader in helicopter design and manufacturer.
