3arried o$t to as3ertain ans'ers to the e' ;$estions that are o prime importan3e. he
st$dy 'as designed to des3ri4e the $r9ish plays and their in l$en3e on Pa9istani
a$dien3e. Also 'e 3arried o$t a s$rvey via ;$estionnaire to ind o$t the vie's o st$dents
on this alarming iss$e.
Fe' e=tra3t rom di erent arti3les and ne'spaper in the orm o related literat$re is also
mentioned to strengthen the a4ove?mentioned arg$ment. *en3e the s$rvey reveals the
res$lts that 'ere very e=pe3ted and also gives a 3lear pi3t$re that ma&ority o st$dents
also s$pport this notion that these plays leads to'ards moral 3orr$ption and 3$lt$raldominan3e o @ttoman empire.
2n addition5 the s$rvey also sheds light on this per3eption that 'omen are more

the oreign dramas are 3ertainly a threat to the Pa9istan Drama ind$stry. As a devoted

2ndian dramas. 2t is 3lear that the $r9ish drama presents a ne' 9ind o s$spense
that appeals to the Pa9istani vie'ers: s3enery. Moreover5 thro$gh drama5 $r9ey
3an go 4a39 to the 'orld to re4$ild the 3$lt$ral and so3ial ties 4et'een the
$r9ish and Pa9istani peoples. Most o the Pa9istani see $r9ey as a great modelo an 2slami3 3o$ntry 'ith modern traits.
". here is no do$4t that a ma&or government intervention is re;$ired to save the
Pa9istani drama ind$stry. All sta9eholders need to 3ome orth and resolve the
e3onomi3 3hallenges presented 4y the oreign 3ontent. At the same time Pa9istani
prod$3ers and 'riters m$st dra' lessons rom this 3risis in order to strengthen
